Hi, I've been running a group through LMOP for the past few months and we are about to reach its end. Everyone is new to the game, including me, and I'm looking for our next adventure.
I've seen a lot of recommendations for SKT but I'm worried it might be too open for our group. Princes of Apocalypse looks great, but where does it fit in with the rest of the campaigns story wise? Can I run through that one and then proceed to Tiamat and her dragon cult buddies?
Out of all the published adventures, SKT is probably my favorite. The initial encounter in SKT sets the players on some immediate courses of action, you can move past the Savage North fairly quickly. PotA does provide adventure hooks for players coming out of LMoP. Hoard of the Dragon Queen may be difficult, you begin south of Baldur's Gate, practically the other side of the Sword Coast.
