Compare to another character who would be able to use their bonus action for the dash action, so the Way of the Shadow isn't getting quite as much of a boost as you may think (they're now at 90' + monk bonus per round, rather than 60').
Also, seems reasonable that Way of the Shadow travels faster at night.

Scenerio: It's night, a Shadow Arts Monk has Shadow Step once/round, they spend 2 Ki to get Darkvision to 60'.
Does their rate of speed just jump by 60' per round travelling overland, at night!?! A continuous loop of walk, shadow step, walk, shadow step, etc.
That seems to be RAW - but it also seems silly :p

D&D Beyond FoundersYes, that looks like it works.
