you read the title, one of my players is playing a character who's a cross between Victor Frankenstein and a Blue Mage. recently they fought a kraken. now, in the basic lore(witch we're using) krakens were created directly by gods. what could that character do with the semidivine DNA of a kraken?

Perhaps they could breathe underwater, or at least hold their breath for a long time. Another cool thing would be being able to summon large tentacles made of water.
If you wanted a cool drawback, they could probably be compelled to pull floating things under water. (ex: draging down driftwood, or small birds.) It would be easier to ignore the compulsion with larger things. (ex: Boats and people)
My suggestion: give them some of the class features of the fathomless warlock. Also, taking from TheEmberDragon, maybe every time they use one of the abilities they have to make a wisdom check or try to drown/sink the nearest creature/object to them?
