Tritex Games is a UK based company they have lots of Dnd minis so no huge charge on postage. Plus they have the new unpainted ones from D&D Nolzurs Marvelous Unpainted Minis.
if you are after personalised mini for your character, I like the heroforge ones. Prices range from $14.99 to $99.99 depending on the material. Whilst prices are US$, mine shipped from the Netherlands and was a lot quicker than I expected..
If you want minis that actually look good, Games Workshop and Avatars of War are both UK companies that knock it out of the park on detailed minis (as long as you can find something that fits your character concept). It's not like you need a whole army of minis.
It's pretty difficult finding stores in England that sell figurines that aren't Games Workshop ones. When I moved to the USA I was so surprised how much more popular D&D is.
If your in London (or visiting) they are well worth a visit, I've had nothing but great service and advice from their staff, who are all dedicated gamers themselves.

I need a mini for my game - I've wanted one for ages, but I never find one I like that I can also get my hands on.
The real issue is the price. Reaper Minis are cool, but even the super cheap ones end up being £25 or so because of international shipping.
What's the best option for decent UK ones that won't break the bank?

How to add Tooltips
I have ordered some miniatures from http://miniature-heroes.co.uk/ and it worked fine when shipping from UK to Sweden.
Should work fine from UK to UK ;-)
I'm not stupid. I'm just unlucky when I'm thinking.
Miniature-Heroes or any UK Reaper bones reseller.
Buying my first ones from Uk Reaper bones, and get free shipping over a certain price!
Probably the Nolzur's line is going to be a good choice for you. Lots of good PC minis coming out for the first run of that line.
Have you looked into the Mantic minis? There are some good PC character options there.
Specifically the Kings of War ones. Those can be found for inexpensive prices on US ebay.

Sadly my expertise in cheap minis is focused on North America.
