I feel like you missed a golden opportunity to have your monk be half-elf. Like... I don't think he'd look good as a full-blooded elf but there's something about him that just seems... Elvish.
Saw this thread and I thought of some recent character art I made. I've drawn a few of the characters I've played and some NPC's and thought I'd add them:
Indy Jones (Indiana Jones x Milo Thatch) (Inquisitive Rogue) [NPC]:
Brighthand Scattersdottir, my Life Cleric Tiefling who, having grown up sheltered within the walls of her religious commune, is now on her first true adventure with newfound friends.
This is Snek from a modern-fantasy game we'll be streaming for Halloween. The premise is a group of teenagers going on their last night of trick or treating before they all get too old for it. Snek is a lizardfolk Rogue dressed as what he considers the scariest thing in the world: A Lawyer
One night during the Red Festival, as we are settling into our rooms for the evening, Kiss goes up onto the roof of the Embassy and sits alone. The mix of moonlight and the ambient glow from city lights drapes over the young Tiefling as she listens to the echoing music and sounds of late night festival revelry. She snaps her fingers and with a soft pop, the marble fox Familiar, Nim, appears sitting in front of her. His glowping eyes, green and pupil-less, stared at her as Kiss’ similarly empty white eyes look at him sadly.
“I hope you were able to convey my regrets to Birel.” Kiss says softly, “You and she should have had a long life of happiness in the forests and fields. I am so sorry I was the one to rob you both of that chance. I know Birel was at peace with life and death. She said many times that Nature holds no grudge... there is only predator and prey, but she didn’t ask to be put in the arena. Neither did I. The amusement of others threw us into fate’s jaws. We weren’t enemies, but I wish we could have been friends.
My apologies now go to you, gentle Nim. You were loyal and a fierce protector. I am sorry that I was the one to end your life as well as that of your friend and mistress. I am doubly sorry that to make amends I pulled you from your rest and bound you to me as a Familiar. That makes me no better than the arena masters who held us. I release you from that bond. I am in need of guidance and I long for the friendship like you and Birel shared, but not a forced friendship. I am going to call out to the spirits again. I would be honored if you wished to walk the world once more as my companion, but it is your choice. If I never see you again then I hope you and Birel will be forever united in peace.”
The diminutive fox-spirit looks at the young tiefling girl stoically then with another soft pop vanishes. Kiss sits there a moment, then taking a deep breath lays out a small bowl of incense and lights it. As wisps of pungent smoke drifts up around her, she opens her spellbook and begins the ritual to find a willing familiar. She wonders if Nim will return or someone else will answer the call...
This is Noodle, Aka Ezekiel. They do not speak much as they are not fond of speech but when they do it is slow and thoughtful. A Yuanti Rogue they have habits of squeezing into tight spaces and sneaking up on their companions. The nickname Noodle comes from the kind souls who took them in. Their children not being able to say their name simply call them a Noodle, so Noodle they shall be.

hey I'm new to d&d but thanks to my sisters boyfriend i have become super interested in it
Character drawing by commission ordered from me. Tiefling sorcerer with powerful magic artifact that binds him to an otherworldly being. Has an aloof, haughty character. Recruited and trained by the Zhentarim he is sent on a mission as a political commissar type. Has cloak of defense and mage armor. An interesting character to portray. I wanted to show the expression of someone who is very self assured, maybe excessively, but also has the backing of two very powerful entities. A character at the beginning of his adventures but also a force to be reckoned with.
OR realizing she just got the lead roll in the cartoon Beatlejuce...
