The Between the Tangled Roots can be a combat heavy adventure. I ran an average group of five through it. The Dragon Hunters subplot can be very interesting. And the two paths on the island does give some choice.
The Shadow of the Sun can be a combat heavy or diplomatic game. However the author assumes the party will eliminate one faction. My group united the factions.
