I have volunteered to run a D&D club for my kid's 5th grade class at his request. It will only last about four 2-hour sessions so I need a good one-shot option that's fairly vanilla and probably pretty linear. I'm looking at the material I own and it seems like a lot of this will be too long but some of it could be modded to be a one-shot probably. I own Candlekeep Mysteries and Lost Laboratory of Kwalish, for example. I do not own Journeys to the Radiant Citadel or Dragons of Stormwreck Isle so I couldn't really use those. Thanks in advance
Most of the DDAL modules are tailored to fit the constraints you've mentioned. You can search them by storyline on the DMsGuild.
Wizards made a few of them avaialable for free at the start of the pandemic. I can't find the link to the whole list now, but was able to find a few of them below (hosted by Wizards themselves).
In Volo's wake is a set of 6 x 1-hour mini adventures though some can take more than an hour if all the options are taken or folks are role playing a lot. Since it is AL, the characters are expected to advance during the adventures (something like 1 level every 2 adventures) which might fit your time frame.
I find myself in a similar position as the original poster FranktheLlama. I work in a secondary school and have requested to run a DnD club for some of the students who have expressed an interest. The school has given me only 1 lesson (1 hour) per week to run the club. I will be taking the role of the DM as the kids have all got ideas of characters they wish to play. The group currently consists of three pupils, unfortunately none of them have ever played DnD before. They have all however spent the last few days feverishly making their characters, getting their modifiers and appear to have a grasp on the actions for combat.
My question would be asking for any advice to proceed I have never been a DM before, but I have played a character. I would like to make this a success for the students and hopefully show the school of its merits.
I have already managed to get my hands on some mini adventures such as the "outlaws of the iron route" and have looked at the mini adventures already posted in the thread, which are greatly apricated and will be used, but was wondering if there are any others?
Thank you all in advance and sorry for the long post.

Thanks for those! Especially the 1-hour mini adventure. That's great.

Nice. Saving this!
Also check the first and second module in each season. EX DDEX2-1 DDAL3-1 those are generally low level and have one hour mini adventures.

Rrakma is an official oneshot from WOTC where everyone plays Gith and fight star spawn and stuff. It's really fun.
