Hello fellow dungeoners đź‘‹, I was trying to make a character for a big game at my local games shop and I'm not sure how to do it in a way that'd work as my store says that the character have to be made use adventurers league guidelines.
What I was trying to do was make a hill dwarf death themed warlock / bard multiclass. I was thinking about using the warlock pact of the undeath but I can't use this as it is in Van Richten's guide to ravenloft which isn't allowed with AL character creation rules. There's the pact of the undying warlock but that's meant to be crap from what I heard.
Does anyone know how I'd be able to do this sort of character in a way that would work? All help would be greatly appreciated and thanks to all those who respond.
Flavor is free. The archfey, fiend, and GOO patrons are pretty easy to make undead/spirit themed. The fathomless too but with more of a drowned spirits/ghost pirate theme. And of course hexblade can have virtually any origin.

Thanks for the help. The fathomless could maybe work for a cool spirit of the sea or something
If you are on Discord, the D&D Beyond Discord channels for AL have the latest release of the AL Player's Guide that gives you the information you need to create a character. The version on the DDAL website is outdated but contains most of the limitations on sources. The main difference is that all backgrounds now contain a choice of feat - either Skilled or Tough - and characters playing in the Forgotten Realms, Eberron, and Ravenloft campaigns can also choose Magic Initiate while characters in the Dragonlance campaign can't.
Most stores run content from the Forgotten Realms campaign since there is a lot of selection and a lot of published material but you may want to check just to be sure.
