Forcing us to follow a theme of a season is an issue
If we weren’t forced to make DC within the restriction of a season, there would be a lot more DC out there
For example, forcing us to make it spelljammer based sucks and if they quit doing that I’d imagine a lot more dungeoncraft would come out
Spelljammer is a fun setting but it ain’t for everyone, especially with things like killer clowns and other outlandish things
I would love to craft a DC series of adventures that is about the conflict between followers of Bahamut and cultists of Tiamat since ToD neglected Bahamut and his followers despite the adventure being about Tiamat
I would love to have dragon touched items be rewards in the DC but of course we are restricted to only 8 to 10 magic items
forcing spelljammer themed stuff for forgotten realms dungeoncraft I think really highlights the issue with this approach
Spelljammer is significantly different than “forgotten realms”, so much so people consider it a separate setting.
So please, stop forcing seasonal themes into DC and let your community flourish and grow creatively
Not to mention season themes forced onto DCs gives a deadline and forces people to rush in dungeoncraft making if they want to make something in a certain theme instead of letting them take the time to create something really good
