I'm playing a sorcerer who just hit level 4 but when I go to select a feat using this app there's NOTHING to choose from. Am I missing something? Reading the handbook, I saw all sorts of feats and one I really like called "spell sniper" that I figured would be perfect my sorcerer. I'd like to add it to my character on here, but there are literally no options to choose from when I go to select a feat. What's the deal?
It sounds like you don't own the books on D&D Beyond. If you haven't purchased anything then the character builder only has access to the free System Reference Document content. I think the only feat available there is Tough or something like that.
If you want access to the Players hand book content in the D&D Beyond character creator then you have to purchase the PHB on D&D Beyond. It does go on sale fairly regularly though. Sorry I can't help more.
Also, you'd be better off posting the question in the General discussion forum since this one is specifically for the organized play known as Adventurer's League.
Spell Sniper is from the Player's handbook, which apparently you don't have access to on DNDB...either buy the book or see if you can buy the piece you want individually. What happens when you go to "Sources" on DNDB and select Player's Handbook? You can also find out if your DM has a campaign set up on DNDB because he can share his books.
