D&D Encounters Questions

Is D&D Encounters going to use D&D Beyond?

How do I get my local gamestore into Encounters? They are part of Wizards Play Network for MTG, but do not know how to get this started. They used to have an outside group run AL, but that group has moved away from AL.

There are very very few places that have not moved away from AL.  It is a dying horse that WotC and Baldman Games keep beating to death more and more each day.

The post as titled wasn't about AL. Also, Baldman as I understand from conventions mainly does Legends of Greyhawk | D&D's Official Global Shared Campaign Set in the World of Greyhawk | Dungeons & Dragons now, not AL. The original post was about D&D Encounters | A New Adventure Awaits | Dungeons & Dragons the latest introductory experience, but now that it was released, I have my answer. I also learned to get WPN support for it you would have to had requested sometime in april.

A gaming store could start doing the new encounters program by just scheduling the events (the signup links for Celebration and weekly play are still there, though Celebration event is ending soon.  You could still run the Celebration adventure as part of the Weekly Play event, though)  .  All of the materials are available digitally to the gaming store.  In April, it was just the first 1000 stores to schedule an event that would get the materials in physical form.
