Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is allowed under the OGL to for instance say: "Race X uses the same traits as High Elves, as found in the Players Handbook page 23".
It would seem like a good way to channel people toward official material and avoid near-similar content to avoid infringement, but I don't know how this is handled formally/legally.
I am at a stage of adapting my 3.5 setting to 5e, and want to make it as uncluttered with new mechanical content as possible.
The official information (and a quite handy chart) is found here.
As far as I am aware, there is no problem at all with referring to existing 5th edition D&D content, as long as you don't duplicate any of the stats/details.
I'm not a Wizards of the Coast representative though and this is just my own interpretation.
If you want to know for sure, I strongly suggest contacting Wizards of the Coast via the details on their website.

Be sure to read section 7 of the OGL.
Thanks to both of you, I will go ahead of investigate further :)
