I am new to DnD, but am DMing my first campaign. Does anyone have suggestions for an in-person game where only one person hears dialogue? Like if player-player or dm-player are speaking telepathically, or if a player has someone talking to them in their mind
Should I just have the two speak out loud? Should I have everyone else leave the room?
If youre confident other players wont metagame off of the information given, just speaking aloud is fine, like narrating it. If you want it to remain secretive, a written note is probably best

text messages are also an option if the other players are likely to metagame.

"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."

Almost all of the time, it doesn't matter if the other players hear.
If it's something the player might not want to share with the group, pass a note in whatever format is convenient.
Thank you all so much!! This is all very helpful and I appreciate the help!
