I am looking for images of spells so that I can make my campaign more visual. It is very easy to find images of monsters and equipment, but not so much with spells. For example, take the true strike spell. I would like to convey a pointing finger emanating an aura to convey targeted mind reading. Creating and assembling images for this amount of spells has proven cumbersome.
Let me know if you are aware of any resources to use.
You may want to try the Arts & Crafts forum and see if somebody more graphically inclined may help you. You can try DeviantART and see if there are artists there who can help. The D&D show Critical Role has a community of "Critters" which contains many superbly talented artists who offer commissions and requests - try Twitter and follow hashtag #CriticalRoleFanArt
Images can be a great way to showcase a spell but due to the varied nature of spells finding an image that matches is going to be very difficult to find or get for free. Your best bet is looking at commissioning an artist to make them for you. Maybe they can do it for free. Perhaps they would be willing to make a catalog of images for spells - I imagine this would be quite popular so it would make a worthy project.
If you are looking at a more digital medium for showcasing these images, such as using them on Roll20 or something, then consider trying to find aesthetically/visually similar magic/spells/effects in fantasy movies, series or anime. If you find a scene with an effect good enough you could take screenshots or even make GIFs. For elemental spells the anime Fairy Tail would be a good try for the lots of elemental spells cast in it (it's a show about combat-based wizards and has dragons and revolves around adventuring guild...).
Hope some of this helps. Happy hunting.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will certainly give mining the fantasy movies a try. I will likely approach an artist to create images at some point.
