I'm building a murder mystery campaign for my PC where they will be spending a lot of time analyzing certain aspects of a manor. I'm not great at drawing in fine detail which is what I will want my PC's to be able to see/find without me having to tell them 'there is a tilted pot in the corner that has a chip out of it'.
I'm looking for a map maker that would let me make detailed maps and hopefully be able to print then off in some form or another. Does anyone know of any apps or sites where I can do this?
I use Inkarnate and it works WONDERFULLY. I am not an artist at all, but it makes it super easy for me to create good looking maps pretty quickly. There is a free version (which is what I use) that does not have all the icons but still has enough to get the job done well, and there is a paid version that lets you make higher quality maps and includes a bunch of icons to place on your map. Definitely give it a try, it has been a fantastic tool for me so far.
Inkarnate was suggested, but that's for mapping large areas, not tactical-scale encounters. MapForge might be a better fit for what you're trying to do.

What genre? Fantasy? Modern Day? Victorian era?
