I'm attempting to run a Kingmaker Pathfinder campaign with my group. We're all been playing for a few years, but I'm running into a bit of a snag.
Kingmaker's map is huge. I mean HUGE. And it can be constantly changing depending on how much territory PCs control. What would be the best way to keep track of the map?
Well, you could treat it much like Risk in the sense that each territory has a marker, card, or other token that represents it on the map. These tokens are given to the players as they earn them.
On your side of the screen have a smaller version of the map, something manageable. Then laminate it and grab your wet erase markers and designate colors for the players, opponents, and neutral factions. You can do the equivalent on most tablets and laptops if you use digital tools.
I really like that idea. This is my first campaign where there's actual hex overland movement, so the map itself will be an issue. Might end up drawing everything out or finding a map online.
Thanks!
