There are many tools as a DM that you can use. I tend to use monster cards and spell cards as well as magic item cards, I was thinking about making ability cards for the players of my group. They are like spell cards but are for class abilities. Since my playgroup is composed of poor high school students, should I make these or should I have them keep track of their stuff?
I would say it's up to the player to organize their own character stuff, but I use spell cards. I love them. Ability cards wouldn't be so bad, but disorganized players will lose them. The spell cards are really good at teaching kids to play magic users. A deck is their spellbook, and their hand is their prepared spells
They should each have a card that says "Attack of Opportunity" on it and whenever an enemy moves out of their range, they have to slam it down and say "You've just triggered my trap card!"

LOL. Although, I may use that for the dungeon traps.
Sorry for the necro but my girl friend and I started playing DND. I play a cleric so I have my share of things to look out for and we need cards like these to make sure she gets all the good out of playing a Fighter.
Do you have a link to a PDF or something where these can be downloaded?
Thank you very much. She would love these. She gets distracted by 'all' the things a Fighter has to keep note of! I suggested she choose the Eldritch Knight but no nononono. That was not something she wanted to get into see how much I as a Cleric has to get in to. There's also a Ranger and Bard in our party. She'll let the spellcasting be up to us :)
