samuelmaxton, the idea is to list stuff that is available for all people who use internet. This is not any kind of official list - just random guy in internet putting links together into one list. However piracy is not allowed. (For example Player's Handbook as pdf is counted as piracy)
Thanks for this. I'm a little confused though. How are these free? For example, isn't Out of the Abyss an official adventure (it certainly isn't free on DnDBeyond)?
The DDE Out Of The Abyss in this list is a free adventure that can be used as an intro to the hardback of the same name.
From the PDF:
Welcome to a special introductory edition of the Out of the Abyss™ adventure, designed specifically for D&D Encounters™ (an official in-store play program) and the D&D Adventurers League™ (the official D&D organized play system).
Aside from the Adventurers League modules DDEX 1-01 to 1-10, which were/are temporarily free to own if you get them on DMsGuild during the limited window (it looks like they only stay free for a week; DDEX 1-07's free window is about to end, and DDEX 1-08 is only free through April 22)...
Lost Mine of Phandelver, the D&D Starter Set adventure, is free to access on DDB (you can find it via the Sources menu at the top of this page), Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds through May 7. (I think you'll have to buy it to continue accessing/using it after that.)
The Sunless Citadel, the first module from Tales from the Yawning Portal, is similarly free to access through May 13.
Forge of Fury, the second module from TftYP, is free to access through May 20.
Regarding unofficial community-created content, the adventure series "Lost City of Mezro" (level 1-16) and the adventure supplement "Dragon Heist: Forgotten Tales" are free to own if you get them now on DMsGuild. (It says they're only free through April 18, but they're still showing as free to me right now...)
...And aside from D&D 5e gameplay content, there's also a coloring page released each day (mostly from WotC's own coloring book products, plus a few other ones by connected artists), and most recently there's also a pack of 4 backgrounds from Eberron: Rising from the Last War (whether you want to use them as wallpapers or as backgrounds for your video calls).
A reminder to everyone: Please don't post links to pirated versions of copyrighted content in this thread. It's against DDB's site rules and will presumably get removed by the mods.
What about Frozen Sick and Dark Star? These are offered free on DDB and don't seem to expire like the other recent freebies. No log-in needed to view them.
You could also add in the entire weekly encounter thread, which are also free https://www.dndbeyond.com/tag/encounter-of-the-week although that opens the door to a whole host of other small one-shot sources.

Sorry I thought that was official. I didn’t realize that’s pirated.
If it is in Media.wizards.com it is official.
Any other sites or pdfs are straight up copyright
Great
shouldn't the title of this thread be 'List of free DnD adventures'? ...which you could then smash together into one campaign.
Guide to the Five Factions (PWYW)
Deck of Decks
I would also add the SRD as it is way more comprehensive than the basic rules.

SRD is good addition to the list. Added.

Cracking stuff! Much appreciated for ideas for sure.
Thanks for links HeathSmith. Added both.

Unfortunately Out of the Abyss link is broken. Removed.

Only useful if people want a PDF. The "basic rules" on DDB includes the SRD as well.
Could you put Dangerous Designs on there?
