Hey, Does any plans me know if their is a sequel campaign for Madness Of The Rat King? Specifically about the magic hammer that you find. I am really enjoying the campaign and I would like to continue.
PandaWizard, I do not think there is a published sequel to Madness of the Rat King, it mentioned some possible plot hooks close to the end, mabye youshould try that?
Great thanks for the main post! That's really helpful
I have some weird quiestion for you, guys: how to implement some mechanics from the Carcassonne (this new edition) into D&D 5e?
Example: in Carcassonne every player have a lot of territory (tiles) with meeples (some units). The effect of meeples depend on which tile he stands. What i want? I want to give to my players some territories and titles to make them feel power (i have 4 players) and let them go for a 10-15 minutes of free kingdoms ruling. I'm curious what they gonna do. After that i want to sow the seeds of discord - give to some of them some limited resource or kind of magic power (i'm not sure) and implement the fifth player (it's special guest) - the imperiour.
Maybe, I got carried away... So the main question: what is the simple and understandable mechanic of kingdom ruling in D&D do you know (I'm still thinking about Carcassonne mechanics - some territory (it will be tiles, maybe. It seems tahat it's the simpliest way to control territory and see what they have), "meeples" (i have some figures (and some minis) and it's can their population (army, farmers and so on)) and routes (land and sea) to control something like caravans)?
It will be my secont time as a DM, so i'm looking for interesting non clasic mechanics and ways to lead the game.
It may be worth noting that the adventure “challenge of the frog idol” appears to be for 3e or 3.5e (maybe earlier, I don’t know the editions) rather than 5e, as one of the monsters has an AC of 4 and a “horde class.” Otherwise, thanks for the great links!
What is Dangerous Designs? Links!
My current projects, One click download PDFs:
- Clam Island campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/By3s5Uqqf (Levels 1-4)
- Frostglade Tundra campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/SyZ_4eEyKE (Levels 1-4)
- Goldfish Archipelago campaign questbook: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/-3HajWXM (Sequel to Clam Island, Levels 5-8)
Dangerous Designs is a starter adventure in the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount book. I do not think that it was released for free.
Oh. Do you know any adventures in the Forgotten Realms that are free?
any way to note the level range (either break them out by tier or just in parenthesis after the title)?
also, something is wrong with the princes of the apocalypse link, the pdf is only 10 bytes and doesn't open. - here's the only link i can find now, but its not an adventure, just mobs, magic items, and spells https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/PrincesApocalypse_AdvSupplementv1.0_PrinterFriendly.pdf (so maybe it'd be better in the bottom category along with the EE supplement?)

The URL has a non-breaking space character at the end of it. It worked with: https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/PrincesApocalypse_AdvSupplementv1.0_PrinterFriendly.pdf when I tested it. Needed to have the   part removed.
looks like the hillsfar link also no longer works

Removed "Harried in Hillsfar" because link was broken. (22.7.2020)

Anything is edible if you try hard enough!
I am a swimmer. If you see me running, you should run too, because it means something horrible is chasing me.
Hey.
- I wont add links to dmsguild.com because it requires log in / account creation.
- Content in list can use any edition of DnD. People can use story / quests / setting / maps no matter what edition is used.
