I want to be able to let my players live out their fantasies as the characters, one such fantasy is on the heist of a casino. The plot I have right now is very vague and just involves them overthrowing a mob boss in the city by means of taking down his main front, a casino. My problem comes when I consider just one thing though. I don't have a map. I've planned out custom enemies that use their own card magic and even attempting at expanding the story, however, I just can't seem to find a map of a casino for DnD anywhere. I can't be the only considering this idea, I feel like someone out there has to have made one. If so where can I find it? Also, I am very open to more ideas for a casino set up, so feel free to share any and all ideas.
Casinos employ a fascinating array of psychological factors to keep people gambling.
For starters, you've got a constant barrage of music and bright flashing lights - all designed to keep your senses engaged. Free drinks as long as your gambling helps people make bad decisions. Also - you'll never see a clock anywhere inside a casino. They don't want to remind you how long you've been gambling, because then you might stop. There are also never any windows that allow a view from the casino floor to the outside, because the light or the weather could be used to determine the passage of time. Casinos want you to feel like you're in an alternate demiplane where time doesn't matter, money doesn't matter, consequences don't matter.
When designing the interior of the casino, you could access floor plans of existing ones on google image search, or just go with a custom layout. Keep the colors bright, the lights flashing, fancypants light fixtures, etc. Curved lines and surfaces help to prevent the eye from focusing on any given perspective point, and thus contribute to the sense of disorientation that helps people make bad decisions.
Also - and this is really important - if you don't have an NPC that is obviously based on Joe Pesce, then all your efforts have been wasted. Seriously, what's the point? It's a given. Gotta have the Pesce.
Go watch the movie "Casino" (1995).
Have fun.

If you make your own map, here's what I consider the basic stuff. If you want it simpler, there's plenty that can be knocked out and ignored. And you will want to juice it up with monster guard beasts, evil pets, cunning traps, or whatever.
Downstairs:
Main gambling area with tables and/or magical slot machines, where people gamble with silver and copper.
High-stakes gambling room where people gamble with gold.
Bar/cafe, with stools, tables, and a few more private booths for plotting in.
Small behind-the-bar kitchen and pantry so people don't have to leave when they get hungry.
Entertainment stage (most likely in gold room.)
Backstage/dressing rooms
Worker and entertainer quarters/employees-only area.
Guarded accounting office with the daily take and extra sets of cards/dice/whatever
Broom/supply closet
Back door leading to a quiet alley where troublemakers can get roughed up.
Upstairs:
Private, exclusive gambling room for the noble, royal and super rich, with heavily guarded (and maybe secret) door.
Exclusive apartments for special guests.
Casino manager's private quarters
Casino manager's luxurious office
Secret staircase from the casino manager's office to the basement.
Basement
Storage/repair area with extra chairs, broken gambling equipment, etc.
Larder for food and drinks storage, connected by stairs to kitchen.
Vault for lots of loot: with guards and fiendish traps
Security force's barracks
An underground prison area for serious troublemakers and inconvenient guests.
For REAL enemies: Hidden by secret doors and connected to the manager's office via a secret staircase, an underground graveyard or torture chamber or shark pool or other fiendish James-Bond-esque oubliette in which to put people to 'disappear' them.

I need help with writing mine. I'm doing an Oceans style where I have the party working in small groups (6 players 2 per role in the heist) However, I cant seem to find a decent Casino module or concepts to figure out mechanics. The only threat is the Casino guards.
I love the tips on this topic, but this is a dnd world so why not put a little magic into this. The bartener is a sorcere who sutlely cast command on you to keep you playing or minor illusion to get you to think that you loses is not as bad, as it really is and even enthrall to make them not notice the shady deals, kidnapping and how much time has past. Some knows calm emotion to deal with drunk angry people. Have unseen servent delivere drinks and keep the guest glass full. The guards knows detect throungt and is therefore always there before someone makes trouble.
In one of the post it was said that casiones are build to feel like a diffent dimionsen so why not make it one
Use catnap on your workes so they can be more productive and work longer hours
Why not have glyph of worden cast modify memory on every single one who leave the casino and have people cast dream on them to make them want to get back so they can win even more then last time
Who is in owner and why is he/she not a red dragon who is using the casino to make its hord bigger by doing its damist to make people use all of their money there, and have charmed is worker to sus a lvl that they are just slave without knowning anything
Interesting idea with the casino card, but it seems to me that it still needs a long time to be finished.

Guten Tag!
I recently did a casino heist. access was through sewers. But they needed to acquire that through npc #1
Entrance was guarded by anvil wrought raptors, that acted as cameras. They had to acquire a controller from npc #2 which switched off the raptors for 30 seconds.
then had to break in before the raptors switched on again.
then bypass guards to find “the office” by creating a suitable diversion for the guards. ( they chose to cause mayhem disrupting the floor show)
then crack the safe,
then do all of this again in reverse to escape.
the guards were a small part of it, mostly it was a series of scenarios to buy them time to avoid detection through each step of the heist.
Also, I am very open to more ideas for a casino set up, so feel free to share any and all ideas.
Have no straight paths that are longer than about 30ft. IRL, I think this is to make you walk at a profitable game, but in your world it would make the escape more interesting.
Player: I make a full move north.
DM: You run into a wall of machines of bright colors and low average returns.
Player: OK. I go east.
DM: Hmmm. A group of old dwarves, but they're well-dressed. They don't move much. Difficult terrain. Look, there's the booking window for the Hobgoblin Races!
Ideas for your casino heist, here are a few suggestions:
Casino Security: Incorporate unique security measures such as magically enhanced guards, animated suits of armor, or monstrous creatures acting as bouncers. This can make the heist more challenging and exciting.
Gambling Tables: Create interactive encounters around gaming tables. I recommend that you study the best online gambling experience, for example, at https://leafletcasino.com/online-casino/quatro-casino/you can read a review about Quatro Casino, which is very popular among Canadian players. Also consider allowing players to participate in card games or dice competitions against skilled NPCs, adding an element of risk and reward to the heist.
Magical Casino: Infuse the casino with magical elements. For instance, illusion spells creating a shifting environment, enchanted slot machines that come to life, or magic-infused drinks that grant temporary abilities or status effects.
Underground Network: Expand the story by revealing an underground network connected to the casino, involving illegal activities, secret societies, or rival gangs. Players can discover this network during the heist or use it to their advantage.
Time Pressure: Introduce a time-sensitive element to the heist. For example, the mob boss has a meeting in an hour, or the casino will be swarmed by reinforcements in a limited time.
That's interesting to know! Acquisitions Incorporated is a popular Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) campaign, and Storm King's Thunder is an adventure module for D&D. Both of these campaigns include a casino that can be adapted for use in your own games.

One of my favorite Patreons, Cze and Piku recently put out a casino ship. Here's the free version of their map.
Also, check out this thread for more of their cool stuff. I really like the style of maps they make.

If you’ve ever heard of payday 2, it’s a fun heisting video game with some casino levels, and some of the maps you could probably adapt to be for dnd.
I love Casino. But this is RObert Deniro Erasure.... and I won't stand for it. My villain is going to be a big ****off Bob Deniro Dragon
