Party enters into a long unused Pyramid, after seemingly being trapped inside the pyramid appears as it once did in all of its glory. Clearly an illusion.
"All demons are liars, but Fraz-Urb’luu is the Prince of Deception and Demon Lord of Illusions. He uses every trick, every ounce of demonic cunning, to manipulate his enemies—mortal and fiend alike—to do his will. Fraz-Urb’luu can create dreamlands and mind-bending fantasies able to deceive the most discerning foes." -Mornenkainen's Tome of Foes

The archdevil Titivilus can cast Major Image, and so can Bael. Any of the Lords of the Nine could besides Zariel. Those are devils though.

then again, you're the dm, csheets. any demon could be made to create an illusory pyramid, though i'd probably prefer those of the intelligent, manipulative type, like a glabrezu, nalfeshnee, sibriex, or marilith. a ballhanoth could also be reworked into a demon, since it can create illusory terrain.
Well, consider the purpose of the pyramid. What is it hiding and what kind of encounters or traps are placing in the party's way that are related to the pyramid?

What sort of Demon could do this?

If you're looking for a non-demonic fiend, perhaps something like a Rakshasa
Well my first thought is Fraz-Urb'luu, but I believe a Rakshasa could do it as well. A Balor could do it, maybe, considering how powerful it is.
D&D is a game for nerds... so I guess I'm one :p
