So my players are about to begin the renovations after gathering money, and branding their new business Northside Spirts. They are intending to run it as a tavern, and have put the word out for positions they need filled.
I intend to have all kinds of folk show up at the manor the next few days for “interviews”. I’ve come up with a handful of potential hires already(some good, some bad)(some expensive, some cheap), but would love some of the community’s ideas to throw into the mix. They are looking to hire a couple cooks, wait staff, another “bouncer”, a resident bard, and another bartender.
The name 'Northside Spirits' could be misinterpreted, and everyone who shows up to apply for the positions is a ghost or fey spirit of some sort...

An aged dragonborn butler named Whipsworth applies for a waiter position. He got downsized after the fortunes of his employer soured. All their holdings were bought at foreclosure prices by the Cassalanters, who are selling everything off for their own profit.
Sonny is applying for the cook’s job. He won’t give a straight answer about why he left his last job. He’s actually a good cook. Seems nice enough, though his eyes are a little beady. He’s trying not to reveal he’s a wererat and got fired for being a healthcode violation.
Rose is applying for a bartender job. Goth chick. She’s an aspiring necromancer. Animating her deceased pet guinea pig is her biggest accomplishment so far. Talking with her kind of depresses people. Suicidal patrons shouldn’t be left anywhere near her.
I had a PC concept that could work for the resident musician. The "bard" is actually a fiend-pact warlock who always wanted to be a bard but thought it sounded like a lot of work, so he sold his soul for musical proficiency. Uses Mask of Many Faces to appear to be a half-elf, because it fits his mental picture of a "real bard".
