Hello, I have never played D&D, and neither has my group of friends. I am the one that knows the most about it so I'm going to be the DM. I am looking for a captivating one-shot that will hopefully keep them wanting to play D&D. something that is easy for first-time players and first time DM.

"Frozen Sick" from the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount is currently available for free under "Quarantine Resources".
I ran it with a group of friends as a One-Shot and they liked it so much they wanted to continue and turn it into a whole campaign. :-)
It also has all maps you need for VTT or print and is a nice introduction to Wildemount.
