So Tomb of Annihilation is out like tomorrow, and I'm wondering what your plans are for picking up the book. This is the first book to release since Beyond went live, and I'm interested to know how you'll make your purchase. I've purchased the PHB and DMG, but I don't know if I'll pick up any adventures. I really love having the books, and I don't see myself using the digital copy of the book nearly as much as I'd use the PHB or MM for example.
I am creating an adventure that has part of it take place on Chult. I want Tomb of Annihilation to get official history, lore and information on Chult.

Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
If I ever decide to run it, I'll be buying it on Beyond because it is likely to be the least expensive option, and certainly be the most useful option to me since I don't use Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds.
I work in a gaming store, so I was simply going to buy the book there, nothing more - I get good discounts as an employee. But seeing I live in Norway, I suppose the delivery of the books isn't on the spot release date wise (we are an WPN core level store, so we should get it before the global release date). So me, being an impatient man, discovered it was for sale here as well, and bought it. I still going to buy the physical copy when we get it in our store - I still prefer reading in physical (you miss the beautiful design and flow in the digital version), but the interconnectivity and ease of jumping from place to place, the ability to have different tabs open at the same time is going to be invaluable when running the campaign later. So, both.
I'm going to get it on beyond as waiting for it to turn up in NZ or Taiwan will be a bit of a wait and more expensive. I can then wait till it is on sale and pick it up later to fill out my physical collection.
Also having the data already in the tool set is a bit of a bonus.
I got it on beyond only because it was available first and I could start prepping the game. The book doesn't come out in Australia until next Tuesday (One store had it on their shelves but when I picked up a copy and took it to the counter I was told he wasn't aloud to sell it to me o_0
I much prefer book. Only because tabbed pages are easier to flip between and navigate than clicking a bunch of links and scrolling up and down until you find what you're looking for.
I personally picked up both. I prefer the physical copy of the book for preparation, but I like having certain parts of the story/monsters/etc open in browser tabs during the game for easy reference.

Thoughts?
I plan to get the monsters (I know there will be some) and magic items (again, I know there will be some), but not the whole adventure.

Adventures I will start buying on beyond. I like core books physically (ATM).
