RESULTS OF THE COMPETITION OF THE FINEST BREWS IV
It is finally time to announce the results of the polls.
Statement on use of polls and impact on results
Early on in the initial D&D Beyond poll, it was suspected that some members were voting in a dishonest manner. To combat this, I created a Google Poll and asked everyone to respond. The final number of total responses were similar between both polls (about 13 people) with only one of the votes in the Google Poll being removed because it appeared to be dishonest/trolling (judged by the fact that the poster only voted in extreme values of 1 and 5 for all entries).
While there was some consistency between both polls, there were discrepancies and deviations which led to some differing results. As the judge, I stated early on that I would more than likely favor the results of the Google Poll over that of the D&D Beyond Poll due to the improved transparency of how votes were submitted.
That being said, I will be mentioning in the results below "honorable mentions" for any user who would have won based on the D&D Beyond Poll alone.
For anyone interested in reviewing the results, the can be found compiled here Poll Results (CotFB-IV)
Now, for the results
DM Option: Relativistic Revelry
The winner is HombrewMindFlayer and their entry Crushers (total average of 4.5 pts).
This win was consistent across both polls
PC Option: Spellcaster Shutdown
The winner is ThauraeIn_The_Bold and their Spellslayer subclass for Fighter (total average of 3.67 pts).
Honorable Mention: The winner of the poll on D&D Beyond was HomebrewMindFlayer and their Spell Duelist
Inspirational Option: Festivals and Gatherings
The winner is ThorukDuckSlayer and their entry the Festival of Petty Disputes (total average 4.17 pts)
Honorable Mention: The winner of the poll on D&D Beyond was Drumitch and their Savage Snowball Fight
Overall Victor
In a final twist, the overall victor for the Competition of the Finest Brews IV is ThorukDuckSlayer with a total average score across both of their entries of 4.08 pts.
Second place goes to HomebrewMindFlayer with a total average score across both of their entries of 4.00 pts
Third place goes to Thauraeln_The_Bold with a total average score across all three of their entries of 3.83 pts
Honorable Mention: Based on the D&D Beyond poll, the results shift slightly resulting in HomebrewMindFlayer taking first place.
Thank you all for participating. I look forward to the next competition

I noticed that someone voted a 1 on my Antimagic Gate on the Google Form. Could the person who did send me a PM explaining why?

WHAT?
I am utterly flabbergasted, I actually won?
I hadn't expected that, I'll have to come up with some categories! :)

I included all of the values so as to be as transparent as possible with the poll results, since they cannot be seen here. Unlike D&D Beyond, you can see how many of each type of vote you received, but I do not think this should be taken as an opportunity to ask the participants to justify or explain their vote. I think that this is important to state if we are going to use the Google Poll format going forward. Unless we switch to a judge-panel style of voting, no one who participates is required to explain their votes.
Edit: Another reason such anonymity is important is so that no retaliation is taken by one party against another in future CotFBs (i.e. "you voted poorly for me, so I will vote poorly for you in the next one"). I am of course not implying that the poster of the original comment would do this, merely stating it is a potential problem worth avoiding.

I find it strange that HomebrewMindFlayer didn't win, as they won across almost all the categories and by a greater total amount than ThorukDuckSlayer, but oh well. It's your thing to judge Kaboom, I won't question your decision.
Also, congrats Thoruk! May the 'brews be ever in your favor.

They both had two entries. HomebrewMindFlayer's just ended up having a lower average overall (4.5+3.5/2) compared to Thoruk's (4.17+4.0/2).
That being said, it was a very close competition, and I do wish I could award them both the victory. But, I had stated earlier I would stick to the results of the Google Poll and only provide the D&D Poll results as a comparison, so thats what I have to do

Fair enough, I am merely surprised by the fact that a 4.5 and a 3.5 average out lower than a 4.17, but I'm fine with the results.
Anyway, good luck on the next competition!

Congratulations Thoruk! I do agree you won this, your submissions were amazing.
Good job to everyone, nearly everything here was amazing!! I'm excited to participate in the next one! Thanks for hosting, Kaboom979! This was very fun.
I totally advise riding an animated castle.
I only wanted to know so that I could improve when I homebrew in the future.

Awesome job, everyone! The winning entries are very much worthy of their titles. However, I noticed that the Spellslayer got 3.67 on the form. Wouldn't that place it above the Spell Duelist for PC options?
