I just got my account a few moments ago and one thing I immediately noticed is I can't create let alone use my completely independent classes. For example I wanted to make a class called the juggernaut with magic bound shield, a d12 hit die, and plenty of various methods of making sure they are the one getting hit and not the wizard in the back. Is there some way for me to do this that I'm just not finding?
I saw in a related post that someone mentioned it would take a lot of man hours and people were against it. Does this mean that even though I'm making a class, my friends and I can't use it for our own purposes without someone else reviewing and changing it up? Does this apply for all homebrew content like spells, items, etc.?
It's also important to mention that a majority of the custom classes I use are from reddit's r/unearthed arcana and already peer reviewed anyway. Although that is simply, someone posts the file and people give advice in the comment section. That being said if possible I'd hope for a comment section or something when creating homebrew content to give credit to original writers, sources of inspiration, etc. etc. Sorry if this already exists for other homebrew content and is a moot point; I haven't checked the site as thoroughly as I probably should have once I found out I can't make my classes.
The issue isn't private or public use, it's the complexity of letting people define full classes. You can already create private homebrew for use in your own campaigns without approval from anyone.
A more customizable DDB character sheet is coming out "soon" (presumably in the next 1-3 months). Hopefully that'll make it easier to adjust your character's stats to match whatever class features your custom classes provide. In the meantime, you'll have to make do with custom spells, magic items, feats, subclasses and races.
Do you know if this will allow you to disable class features?
I am trying to create a Card Dealer (uses cards for attacks and has various abilities based around luck and gambling). I had to create it as a subclass of a rouge, but now I am stuck with a bunch of extra features I don't need, and some stats are also wrong due to differing proficiencies. (Mainly Charisma and Intelligence). Obviously, the optimal solution would be to add a full custom class option, but if it would allow me to just disable abilities I don't need that would still work.
I'm not sure what the full character sheet update will consist of, but the developers have vehemently spoken against homebrew classes because of the endless possibilities that can lead to. Your best bet (if the character sheet update doesn't do what you're looking for) is to do a homebrew subclass.

Thanks for any help

Oh so it's a matter of actually programming the feature into the website. Understood thanks for the support.
Yup.
