So i'm trying to make a homebrew item that increases a characters strength score to 22. I added the modifier but whenever i add it to a character it doesn't go above 20, what do?
Seems to work for me. You've used the Modifier -> Set -> Strength Score? Is the character attuned to the item?
Here's how the belt of giant strength handles it:
