Citrine Dragon. I couldnt find this species in the books, though there may be unofficial creations elsewhere. This is mine.
Citrine Dragon.
Alignment Neutral Good. Thought to be an offshort of the Topaz dragon, Citrine Dragons are gem dragons, though with a holy nature and about 2/3 the size of its Topaz cousin.
Skills Speed Ground 50, fly 90, burrow 30, swim 50 Resistances Necrotic and Radiant Senses True sight to 180 foot (always in effect), passive perception 30. Languages Common, draconic, telepathy 120 foot. Spellcasting As per sorcerer, but using the cleric spell lists. Cast at level 5/10/15/20.
They can shape change into medium or smaller creatures at will.
The Citrine dragon looks like it is made out of cure citrine crystal, with 7 swept back horns on the head. The breath weapon is a 90 foot cone of radiant energy, this can heal good aligned creatures and harm evil beings (half damage on a dex save). This damage has no effect on creatures that are neutral between good and evil. In addition, neutral and evil creatures must make a second saving throw or be blinded for 1-4 rounds, depending on the age of the dragon.
Citrine dragons have only recently been discovered, due to their secretive and monastic nature. Some live as humanoids within temples, acting as priests, while others dig caves a hundred feet under temples, making comfortable lairs within 'true sight' of their charges. They protect these holy places with their lives, as long as the site is dedicated to a good deity. Citrine dragons like to collect magical items of a light/holy/radiant nature as their hoard, though they will never steal such items, and certainly never from their chosen temple. These items are usually arrayed around their lair so as best to display them, placed on shelves and hung on walls.

When faced with an issue, most people would rather be negative than find a solution.
Seems cool! Only one thing, the breath weapon cannot be used to harm good creatures or heal evil ones! I would say something where the dragon can choose healing or harming breath would be good.

I'm just your everyday dungeon master. Ignore that jar full of souls. And those bones in the corner are just props, don't worry. I'm definitely NOT a lich. Definitely.
Yes, I like beholders. Yes, I curated an exquisite personality for commoner #2864. Yes, my catchphrase is "are you sure?"
There could be a compromise, a rare situation where the Citrine Dragon turned evil. Swap Radiant for Necrotic, reverse the effects, and have a cursed monster living right underneath a holy temple, ready to devour them all. Could be an adventure in that...

Yeah, seems cool. But what if the dragon is neutral?
