I am trying to use the [magicitem] tooltip in the special traits description field for a homebrew monster and weapon, and it does not seem to work. Just shows Tooltip Not Found.
I can delete the item name and the enter an official magic item, and then that shows up properly. Checked for typos and don't see any.
Does the [magicitem] tooltip not work for homebrew items?
you're correct - the magicitem tooltips only function for official magic items ..... currently.
The infrastructure is in place to allow tooltips on anything, so I expect we'll see a method explained by staff on how to allow tooltips of homebrew content sometime soon.
