Lycan Armor (Medium Armor) (EDIT) Base Armor Rating: 14+dex modifier (Max 2) This armor is almost completely black. It's made of fur hard as steel. It has been reinforced, and padded on the inside to be more comfortable and wearable. While wearing it you have resistance to non magical attacks from weapons that aren't adamantine or silver. Silver weapons ignore the base armor rating this armor has.
(A little something for DMs who have a druid with low dex. Probably not balanced or just outright boring. But I didn't want the idea to go to waste! ^^)
If you're plan was to make this for druids, remember they can wear medium armor. And if you wanted to counteract low dex I'd suggest bumping it up to a form of medium armor (maybe breastplate?)
Oh right! Didn't even think of that! Thanks! I have a big problem with the non metal armor. Like scimitars are the only weapon besides daggers that need dex to be viable (for the most part) every other weapon for the druid needs strength, but they need dex so they don't get hit, but you also need a good constitution... so that's 4 out of 6 stats druids have to have good modifiers in.... xD Therefore I have a rule that you can make armor of almost anything that's a beast or has a thick skin or the like. Simply because it sucks to be a druid with all the rules...
Druids do have access to Shillelagh, a cantrip that makes their melee attacks use their Wis instead of strength/dex. But only with a quarterstaff or club.
this sort of armor would definitely make it easier for druids who dont want to rely on animalshapes for melee though. With Shillelagh they could focus on Con and Wis, and only need a +2 in dex to have decent AC.
Yeah but it takes a bonus action to cast. And you only get 1 attack. (Which I hate and is one of the worst missing features for a druid sometimes) If you have good dex and take two scimitars you can use that bonus action to have a second chance. And if you snag up haste you can yeah, use an action but get up to three attacks. I've made a homebrew circle for my druid with my DM. It's focused more on combat and therefore at 6th level you get extra attack. Which is a HUGE deal if you want a force of nature. This armor was just a cool idea that pop up and I didn't want it to go to waste. Even though I don't have a druid in my party. But yeah, shillelagh is a really good cantrip. And I don't know if I would ever wake up without it! ^^
(EDIT) Note: 14 AC is common for druids. You need a 15-16 before druids get good AC. A shield is a really helpful item to have.

A druid that is more focused on melee weapon combat and with extra attack is called a ranger
They need something to give them that extra edge. In 3.0 a ranger was the best choice to dual wield. In 5e ranger is the best class for avoiding being yelled at because they removed it from the game. I don't wanna go into my rant here as it's pretty long and it's the wrong place for it but I'm not a fan of the ranger. (Doesn't mean I don't wanna play them though.)

I do love me some druid armor though.

I just feel like rangers are a little.....meeh.
