Crafting a homebrew of the totem warrior for the barb. (New animal totem not an entirely new subclass.) For the L14 buff, the barb while raging can make two unarmed strikes with their hands and they count as claw attacks. I was wanting it to just be a static attack & damage (so not something that scales with level) but can't find a way to do so with the existing homebrew modifiers. I've got it set us as an action so it shows as an attack. But to get the attack bonus I have to pick an ability score and then it automatically scales attack and damage buffs with the barb's level. (Going with STR since that's the standard unarmed strike ability though it could feasibly be DEX.)
Does it make more sense for the L14 totem buff to continue scaling with the barb's level so this is moot?
If you're curious, the totem animal is an otter. Still working on the L10 buff as far as deciding what it should be.
