Hello! I am designing a campaign set on a homemade desert world (Not Dark Sun), and I wanted to give the players who had characters brought up among the nomadic tribes, a feat to show their bodied are more efficient from living in that climate. The closest think I could find was the Heat Endurance from 3.5 but I am not certain if it can be updated to 5e. Any help or guidance appreciated.
Probably best to homebrew something like the the Goliath racial ability, such as:
Born in the Wastes:
You’re acclimated to high temperatures and naturally adapted to hot climates, when the temperature is at or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, you have advantage on Constitution saving throws to avoid exhaustion and ignore disadvantage on the saving throw for wearing medium armour, heavy armor, or heavy clothing in extreme heat (see Dungeons Masters Guide, chapter 5).
You could just give it to them as a freebee starting ability, if you wanted it as a Feat you could also give them +1 Cons as well but then I'd give it a prerequisite of Constitution ability score of 14+ in order to take it.
