Hoping to garner feedback and/or upvotes so I can further dial in/feel more confident in my first fully-homebrewed subclass.
For the better part of a year I've been playing a character whose primary inspiration was Escanor from the Seven Deadly Sins manga/anime with the Oath of Devotion. As he developed, my DM spotted the Oath of Heroism when it was published and allowed me to switch to that. In the last few months, though, we've been talking about a homebrewed subclass since my initial goal (never having played a paladin before) was to make him primarily tank/support since the party already had a big, dumb, damaging-dealing fighter when I joined in. Divine smites are awesome for killing things but seem like kind of a waste of a half caster to me so I wanted to incorporate more support and battlefield control spells and abilities.
