Will do, thanks very much. Is there any way to make one damage type bludgeoning (to represent the unarmed strikes) and one piercing (to represent the blades)?
The closest you could come is to do this instead of adding Versatile:
Modifier—>Damage
Subtype—> piercing
Dice count—>1
Die Type—>d8
Details—>Instead when blades are extended.
That won’t actually do it correctly, but I think it’s the closest we can get with the current system.
PS-I told you to start with a Shortsword because I am assuming Monk who can use Dex or Str. If it is meant to be Str only, start with a Mace, +1 instead and save yourself the extra modifier to replace the damage type.
Start with a Shortsword, +1 and do this:
Add two modifiers:
Change the name and the description and re-save the whole magic item to trigger the system to pick up the changes.
