Trying to add a homebrew item on this site here. It's a magic dagger where the damage roll is a d4xd4. I'm a bit at a loss on ways to create that item. Been playing around with it for a bit and I'm sure it's user error, but I'm at a loss.
Thanks,

Since you're setting up a dagger with variable damage between 1 to 24 damage you could try making the dagger 2d12. This will be a range from 2 to 24 damage. Closest you can get, probably.

Thanks. I suppose I just liked the rolling aspect, but that's probably a better way to go about it. The mechanic was just fun for the extra dx4 multiplier for crits, but I'll just work that out. I appreciate the input.

d4xd4 has a range of 1-16, not 1-24 :-)
So 2d8?
