So I created a unique spin on the Wyern Tor encounter from the Starter Kit. I don't quite know how to accurately gauge his CR. Can anyone assist? Also wouldn't mind feedback on Gog himself. https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/1245916-gog-the-educated
Damage per round is 8 for Intellectually Stimulating + 13 for Greatclub = 21 = Offensive CR 3
+6 to hit and 16 DC are 2 higher than the values for CR 3, so bump to Offensive CR 4.
HP 86 is Defensive CR 2.
Armor Class 13 is appropriate for this Defensive CR, but Befuddlement can reduce one roll a round by an average of 6. If you have four players, it's like having an extra 1.5 AC on average. Except you can choose to use it when you're likely to be hit. So it's probably worth 2 or 3 more AC. Therefore I'd bump their Defensive CR to 3.
So average CR 3.5. I'd maybe round it to CR 4 on the strength of their stats. A high Int and Insight will prevent them from being put at a disadvantage by any player ruses.
