Hi guys I made a subclass for one of my players it started of as just switching Eldritch knight over to being charisma based. But I have to much time on my hands and rolled with the idea to make it something new. If anyone has the time I would appreciate feedback on it as I think I balanced it well but I know homebrewing is notorious for being over powered. So some econd opinions would be nice.
this looks great giving them power based of blood/metamagic is stepping a bit on sorcerers toes but im assuming thats the class the player is coming from
No they're not coming from one the player hasn't played a spell caster before. It's just meant to be a sorcerer fighter subclass like how Eldritch knight is a wizard one. Hopefully it alleviates the want to multiclass.
Well I definitely want to keep the blood powers it took me awhile to come up with a name. It started as blood blade and then blood knight and the I tried out crimson. I just couldn't find a name I like until I came to the conclusion that just like any sorcerer's get their powers from the mythical beast(dragon) that they share blood with so would this class and it hit me Mythblade.
I could have come up with unique "metamagic" for the class I figured I'd stick to the official one or I'd probably break the class.
As for taking stuff from bard I just don't see why a player would want to play this instead of either a battle master or a college of swords if I took some of the bars abilities. To command their allies.
Ps. Thanks for responding btw I don't have many friends that know enough about 5e to talk shop with. They know what they need to know for their individual characters.
