Sila executes a couple of exploratory shuffles towards the dead troglodytes and finds that their stench has indeed declined with their passing – the immersion in the cold river may have helped though. Searching the bodies she finds nothing, not even battered weaponry.
Bree goes to town with her arcane cleaning powers while Lucy provides fresh water to aid the process, although it’s an exhausting effort to scrub away the troggy stench from the brave adventurers.
With the immediate aftermath dealt with, the team settle down for a brief recoup before setting off again.
(Please process a short rest, post any hit die used and announce or discuss next steps. Ways forward are back to the sinkhole cavern, back to the huge cavern or north to the troggy cavern that only Artemis has scouted so far)
Sila moves to Bree using the last of her Ki to cast darkvision then once confirming those not needing to rest can guard them, positions herself within the cave cross-legged and spends the hour in meditation. Recentering herself. Following her meditation she rises and moves to assist with the burying of the chests for later gathering. As no-one has claimed the potions, she will gather both for now. Then gather up her daggers and javelin from near the body of the creature.

While adventurers taking rest, Lucy sends Artemis to scout the north cavern where the reptilians came from. The owl is unhappy. She has no other choices but to obey her master's order. Then a crazy idea comes into her mind. Artemis flies to the troggy chamber then takes a big breath. The bad smell almost makes her vomit but it gives Lucy same… maybe more damage. Hearing roar of rage, grinning happily, the white owl keeps scouting the north cavern. Perception:20
Gruenic also gathers his javelin, then says "Perhaps we should go into the cavern to see where those foul creatures came from. Let's keep exploring. I'm feeling rested and stronger now."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
After her meditation break, Sila nods in agreement to Gruenic. "We should cover our mouths and noses in case the smell is bad in there too, and be cautious of any others." Taking a piece of cloth and tying it around like a handkerchief over her face.
Artemis scouts the stinking cavern and it looks very much the same as before, with three exits: the river's entrance to the north, its exit to the south east (where you would be entering) and the mud barrier in the south west.
(Copied map from earlier, please disregard the troglodytes as they are gone now):
Garavant looks about at their options. "I suspect there are more of those foul things lurking about that way," he says, indicating the direction from which the troglodytes came, I suppose it would not be wise to just ignore them. They might sneak up on us later, yes? Once we're confident they've been dealt with, we can explore behind the wall. What do you all think?"
Gruenic agrees with Garavant and stands, starts to gather his things and prepare. “What should we do with this chest? We ought to make it easy to get but hidden. Submerge it with rope tied around it, or something else? Bury it? Hmm, silver, for a second I thought it looked like gold.”

"How shall we get across this lake area? Gruenic do you see anything in it? There could be more submerged, lying in wait." She looks ahead as much as she can around the others in front of her. Is the water clear from the river flowing or hard to see into?
" The north is clear…no one left. But there is another barrier on Southwest. Means more troglodytes could be hiding behind it" Says Lucy with one hand on her nose and tear in her eyes. " … Accursed feather ball! Look what I will do to you when you come back! "
@Gruenic
" It is very dark here. Hard to distinguish slivers from gold at first glance. " Lucy uses her toe to push the chest. It doesn't move an inch. " I recommend submerging them. Digging a hole that big enough to hide the chest will be tiresome and dirty."
@Sila
(If the water is too muddy to see through. Lucy will use Shape Water to make it clear. )
(The river is clear, the pool is about 10ft deep at the south and east edges and shallows(?) to 5ft deep at the north west corner where the river runs into it. You can try jumping, swimming or crossing in some other way)
Sila considers then poses a question to the group, "The room to the north where we entered this level from the stairs had a waterway running south. I am terrible with direction underground, but could it be the same as the waterway leading out of this room to the north? It might be easier on the armored of the group to enter from that side. Or is my visual off?"
Gruenic smiles and says “Yeah, I’m up for any way where I don’t have to swim in this.” He looks down at the plate armor. “I can’t remember how to get there, but I would like to smash through that wall that Artemis saw.”

" Let me see… " Lucy takes out her pen and spell book. She rips one page from the book and starts to draw a map. "… Yeah. Sila is right. The waterway probably connects to the river in the north room. I remember the water isn't shallow and the tunnel is narrow. It's wide enough for Bree to pass, though she has to tiptoe in the water. But…for you,Gruenic. it might be very uncomfortable. "
" I can make an ice boat. But I never made it before, and it probably can carry one person at once. " Lucy suggests. " We have rested long enough. Let's drop the chest in the water and move forward. "
@DM
(Is it possible that Lucy makes a boat with ice and manipulates the water to control it. She will use it to carry her friends across the big pool on the north)
(I love the idea, but a boat that can fit in a 5x5 cube and support a heavily armoured Gruenic might be a stretch, sorry. It would look beautiful though.
The river channel from your first room into the stinky room would indeed be uncomfortable, but your earlier examination suggests that you can all get through - Bree would just have to tiptow and everyone else would stoop with their head in a 1-2ft high gap between water and rock)
"Maybe I could use the potion of climbing and climb along the edge of the cavern until I reach the other side, carrying a rope with me for one of you to hold on your side. If Lucy is willing to make an ice raft, we could lay a blanket on top of it for traction. The ice should cause it to stick to it. Using the rope as a guide we could pull ourselves across one by one? I'd like to suggest that Gruenic use the potion of water breathing and maybe just walk across the edge of the pond with us lowering the rope to hold as a guide in case he gets stuck on the bottom." Sila suggests looking around to the others hopefully.
Lucy made various boats. Fish type, swan type, dragon type… She floats them on water, tests them and even boards them. They all look gorgeous but…" Ah! Forget about the stupid boats! " Finally Lucy abandons the effort to make a boat strong enough for supporting a fully armored half orc.
Just then Artemis returns from the scouting mission. " Oh you are back. Here. Take this. " Lucy throws a treat. " AND THIS! " Then hit Artemis with icy water, making her scream and drop to the ground. " Revenge is a dish best served cold! … Anyway sorry,Gruenic. The ice boat doesn't work. But Artemis reported that the water channel from the first room is wide enough for you to go through. Of course you can drink the potion and try Sila's plan if you want. "

"The Potions of Water Breathing and Climbing might come in handy coming or going too if the other entrance isn't ideal." Sila suggests.
"Ok, should we give it a try? Do you want to submerge this chest here and secure it with a rope?" Gruenic nods when the potions are mentioned.
