"Perhaps they will be friendly and will guide us to the treasures we seek," Garavant says with a grin as he gets ready to move in pending the familiar's report to Lucy.

Artemis slips through the tiny crack in the door and soars high to survey the room on the other side (posting publicly, assuming that Lucy will share the update):
This enormous hall is lined with ten great pillars, carved into the forms of giants and dragons, that support the vaulted ceiling high above. Guttering orange torches set in sconces along the walls illuminate the room, and a mighty throne sits on a dais at the opposite end. The walls were once covered with tile mosaics, but they have been smashed and defiled by graffiti. Tiny fragments of tile litter the floor. You can see five other exits. A small fire smolders on the floor before the dais, where six sleeping pallets lie empty, surrounded by packs and supplies. The sound of hammers ringing on iron comes from beyond the doors to the south.
Three male Duergar - dwarfs of the underdark - stand having a conversation while facing away from Artemis. Two are clad in scale mail and the third, who seems to speak with some authority over the other two, is dressed in studded leather. They are mid sentence when the one in leather cuts himself short and spins round to see the owl stood inside the door.
"What the- get that thing, now! It might be a familiar!"

On her turn, Sila slips quickly into the room and moves north to the first pillar. Using it as Cover, she glances down the northern exit to see what lies that way and then fires an arrow at the Lead Duergar. Her movement as stealthy as possibly, trying to escape the notice of her targets. stealth16

Bree will look into the room but stay behind the rest of the party. Not wanting to ruin any stealth operation anyone is planning she prepares to hurl a fire bolt for when the fight clearly is started. Still hoping the duergar might be friendly (against all hopes).
Garavant leaps forward at the dark dwarves, convinced that if he strikes one down quickly the others will flee or surrender in fear! After attacking, he springs backward, keeping his blade before him, channeling sonic energy into the one he struck.
"Do not move! Surrender!" he cries out.
Rapier Attack: 23 Damage: 7 Sneak Attack 12
Booming Blade set to trigger if the one he struck moves more than 5 feet.
Gruenic casts bless on Lucy, Garavant and himself and then moves approx 20 feet to the east, to be the first one encountered if the Dueregar rush at us. He hears Lucy beginning to cast and he stays out of her way. He prepares and says “Bless us Selune and give us the might to strike down these evil foes.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Breeis first to respond to the danger, darting into the chamber and hurling a fire bolt at the duergar leader. The flame smacks him in the shoulder, searing leather and flesh.
“AGH! You’ll be the first to die, halfling”
The duergar is still snarling as Garavantarrives in front of him, thrusting his rapier into the leader’s stomach and jumping back. As he stands there, 10ft from the stricken target, the dark dwarf is wreathed in coils of energy.

Silatakes cover behind the first pillar on the north side, takes aim at the beleaguered duergar leader and fires an arrow straight into his thigh. He grunts as the missile pierces his flesh (rolled another d20 as you had advantage thanks to Artemis; it was enough to hit, but not a critical)
The duergar soldier inside the webbed area manages to leap out of the sticky tendrils and into the clear. Shouting a dwarven incantation, he suddenly swells to twice his previous size and moves around the pillar to the north, looking to flank the party.
The other duergarmoves into range of Garavant, shouting the same incantaio and growing to menacing size as he advances on the swashbuckler.
The leader, webbed, enraged and wounded, also grows his mass to double size. The magical strands strain as he grows within them, but hold fast.
