Sila moves quietly from the Eastern door down the hallway after Artemis as flown ahead. She peers down the southern passageway, confirming that it is still clear, then moves past the large pile of supplies. Staying close to the wall she edges up to the Southern door and examines it for any traps, and then listens.
Gruenic backs up Sila, staying 10-15 feet back, but ready to support and lend his strength. He stays far enough back to avoid any sound, but he is listening and ready.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Your short rest is uninterrupted; the orcs are obviously lacking in tactical defense planning.
Artemis stretches one stubby leg, then the other. A quick shiver to fluff her feathers and she’s off, gliding almost silently down the corridor to scout the north turn at the end of the corridor.
@Lucy:
At the end of the passage stands a statue of a fierce-looking dwarf in heavy mail armor. The stone warrior holds a sword in one hand and a smith’s hammer in the other. The statue is about seven feet tall and stands on a large stone pedestal.
A door leads off to the west, and before it, taking up almost the entire floor panel between the door and the statue, Artemis’s incredible vision notices the unmistakable signs of a pressure plate.
@Sila:
The southern passageway remains clear, no sign of anyone following up behind you.
You move silently up to the door, it is up a short flight of stairs and appears to be free of any traps. Listening at the door you hear what appears to be the sound of eating, possibly from more than one creature. There is also a soft chuckling and some contented noises coming from a voice in a language you don’t understand.
Sila holds up a hand to stop Greunic's progression, though she suspects he hadn't planned to move further. She looks at him and presses a single finger to her lips and cups a hand to her ear. Stepping carefully back down the stairs, she moves quietly back to stand in the hall with the others.
"I don't find any traps on the door, but that's not saying much, there could still be. I heard sounds of at least one eating on the other side of the door, seems content and chuckling. Speaking in a language I do not understand which excludes dwarvish, elvish and halfling for now. So at least two maybe?" She looks over to Artemis as he glides back, "What has your owl found Lucy?"
“Did they sound like more orcs? I can understand their speech, you might not understand but could you recognize if it was their language?” Gruenic gives you guidance for your next check, says a quick blessing over you and rubs his shield unconsciously.

(( I'll do some retroactive reaction to Gruenic's introduction ))
After the fight Bree immediately starts cutting off the ears. When the others find Gruenic in a reflex conjures flame in her hand to hurl at the newly found orc. After an instant she sees her mistake and within the second this all happened her demeanor changes from "on-task" to threatening to her jovial self. Hands still bloodied from cutting of ears she waves enthusiastic to Gruenic after the introductions she says "Hi Gruenic, I'm Bree! Welcome to the team, if you want to join off course, you are welcome to if you want, always good to have some godly powers backing you I've always learned". She then looks to her hands seeing them all bloody "Oh. Oops. Normally I'm not that gruesome. I today learned that this is the easiest way to share your kill count with other people if they mean to pay you per kill."
After the rest she will stay back with her light to keep the element of surprise, but not too much that she couldn't help out in case of a fight or something. So probably near Gruenic. "Can you see in the dark as well, I would really love to do that as well. Feels like I'm giving away the team with this light" she says, then she add whispering "Oops, maybe I'm also doing that with all my blabbering"
You notice that the inflections and dialect are quite distinct form the orcish growls that you have heard before - it is not the same language. As you concentrate deeper, a strange feeling comes over you, a warmth in your mind that pulls you towards a realisation, a deep-buried memory; giants...
She turns back to Gruenic, "No these aren't Orcs. I feel as if they might be Giants, as if I may have heard them before, but I have no memories of such. There were many spiritual exercises as I was training, times where you feel connected to something beyond yourself. It's like that. Maybe your spell? But I think they're Giants." Unconsciously stepping back closer to the group and grasping her daggers.
Gruenic turns to Bree and says “As a gift from my goddess, I can extend to you the ability to see in the dark as we do, and a good bit further than most. Would you like that now? It will last an hour. Perhaps now is the time.” He extends Eyes of the Night to Bree, dark vision to 300 ft. “And I can give this to one other, should it be you, Sila? Who usually scouts ahead?” Gruenic extends the ability to see further in the dark to the second chosen in the group.
He turns to Lucy. “What did Artemis see? Anything else?” To the others, “Does anyone here speak in the tongue of Giants? I cannot - perhaps they could listen to what is being said. The orcs in the room with me mentioned a large ogre named Great Ulfe that they were scared of around here, maybe it is him? There are other blessings that I can give if we are about to step into battle...”
(Bree for perhaps the first time you can see into the dark very far, 300 feet without the aid of a torch. The torch is extinguished and you are amazed at your new found darkvision.)
"Giants eh?" Garavant says quietly. "Well, the bigger they are..."
He listens to Gruenic describe the gift of vision. "The rest of us can see well enough in the dark, but if the goddess's gift is superior...well I can use it to scout ahead."
Once the decision on the dark vision is made, Garavant is ready to move ahead against their next foes, be they giants or whatever.
OOC: I think that either Garavant or Sila can use it. Garavant is a little stealthier, Sila is more perceptive, I believe. Also, this is a retroactive hit die roll for the short rest 5
Lucy closes her own eyes and sees through the owl's ones. "The north corridor has a big stone dwarf and a door to the west. But there is a trapped floor in front of it. We can leave that later." The high elf nods to Gruenic "I'veheard that ogres are giant's kin. There is a good chance that the big ugly is behind the door with its pets . Let's pump up with spells like dressing up before the ball" Lucylicksher lips. Her eyes glittering with thirst for blood and anticipation.
Ready: If the ogre and his minions are in the room. Lucy will cast Web the moment someone opens the door.
Sila waves an open, upturned hand towards Garavant, "Please bestow your gift upon my friend here, Garavant. He has proven stealthier than me often and goes ahead as much as me. I am sorry, I realize that I can do this as well with use of my ki, but only to 60'. I choose between manipulating shadows, the sounds in them or the ability to see. I've used the darkvision gift so little as I have it myself, I hadn't remembered I could share it." She looks a little apologetically at Bree.
She smiles at Garavant's comment, "Yes, indeed, and they will fall." (I believe we are all healed now?)
Sila ponders her own abilities but doesn't use them as the door is likely to give away their presence depending on where it is. She readies her two daggers and opens the door slowly.
Gruenic gives Eyes of the Night to Garavant. He casts bless on Lucy, Sila, and Garavant. He then readies his war hammer and shield for what lies ahead....

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Silapushes the door and is surprised at how heavy it is. It is possibly also jammed slightly at the bottom, so hard it is to move. Luckily, with Garavant helping, the door swings open without too much delay and you do not lose the element of surprise.
Beyond the door lies a small chamber covered in poorly cured animal hides and illuminated by smoking torches in bronze sconces. The smell is indescribable. A monstrous creature about ten feet in height stands at the back of the room, a massive axe in one hand. You recognize him as an ogre, and the source of the eating noise is now obvious; he is feeding chunks of meat to two massive dire wolves who leap up as soon as you enter. He turns to you, open mouthed, as you burst in.
(Everyone roll for initiative; you have surprised the enemy and they will not act on the first turn)
