As the book blows up in an ectoplasmic mess, Eralynn startles. She glances at the "book" as it begins dissolving into a puddle of some sort of goop on the floor. Gross! Avowed approach you all. One of them, a high ranking member, speaks.
"Oh, my! Well done, Seekers. That's the third book this week that has done this! The other two books that transformed into ectoplasmic monsters were The Dark Hunger and Fallen Tethyamar. According to our records, all three books were used to gain entrance to Candlekeep in the past two months. The good news is, the Avowed keep records of the seekers allowed into Candlekeep and the books they gifted the library. Two seekers who gained entry with the books are still in Candlekeep: Yalerion Highscroll, who brought Mazfroth’s Mighty Digressions, and Valor, who brought The Dark Hunger. I can tell you where they are. If you would investigate this matter for us, we will reward you. What say you? Would you be willing to do a little bit more legwork for us?"
Stowing his axe Garmus turns to the Avowed. "Now yer talkin'! Huntin' down people is just my thing." Garmus says and then turns to Eralynn..."much better sword work this time Lynny."

She thought for a moment. A mystery! She tapped her chin, then had an idea, holding up her finger. Can we then look for art books?
Ysabell pondered on the seekers request for a moment before responding. "I suppose I wouldn't mind assisting in this matter if you'd be willing to direct me to someone knowledgeable with cusre/ blight removals when we're finished." Then noticing Eralynn, she added, "And direct us afterward to your art section as well."
Ecko bouncily follows along, entirely focused on tweaking the mechanism strapped to his arm. A series of screws and multiple different fantastical appliances float over his head like a magical tool rack. He nods without thinking at the offer to track down the two. Perhaps he would get to test out his invention again! "Good work, Eralynn, Garmus. It seems Ysabell was correct in her assumption about violent volumes and intemperate tomes." Ecko excitedly follows, babbling some nonsense about fireworks and eldritch projectiles.

Eralynn nodded to the statement very enthusiastically, particularly the last one.
"Absolutely. It's the least we can do."
"Good work, Eralynn, Garmus. It seems Ysabell was correct in her assumption about violent volumes and intemperate tomes."
Eralynn nodded again.
"Allow me to suggest a course of action. Yalerion Highscroll, the one who brought Mazfroth’s Mighty Digressions, can be found in the House of the Binder. Valor, who brought The Dark Hunger, should be reshingling the roof of the Hearth as we speak. Good luck, investigators! Come back and see me when you have completed your task. I can be found back in the Gatehouse."
Ecko immediately pokes his head out of an ajar window and spies down the two mentioned adjacent buildings. "They're both right here," he calls, "I say we go for the Hearth! I hope none of you are afraid of heights!" he decidedly says, for no apparent reason choosing to wander off towards the mentioned location of Valor.
Eralynn makes a p'shaw motion with her hand before looking at Garmus, nervous, trying to hide it. She gathers her things. Ready to go and "investigate" again!

"Excellent!" Ysabell replied to the seeker before walking over to grab the cat and in its traveling pack and heading off to join the others. "Hopefully we get there before either of them suffer some sort of terrible accident or another tragic fate." She commented lightly to the others when she caught up.
Over at the Hearth, up on the roof, is a broad shouldered athletic female Tiefling reshingling the roof with some tools. She seems to have a permanent scowl on her face, is working hard, and is sweating. Eralynn looks up, points.
"Just a few people looking into the mystery of some man-eating books." Ysabell replied lightly with a smile. "Care to help us out and answer a few questions?". As soon she finished asking for the Tiefling's aid, little nameless behind her poked it's head out and meowed as if echoing the request.

Eralynn turned cherry red. Thank you!

"Off we get." Garmus says, making a shooing motion with his hands and follows after Eralynn.

Garmus looks up and yells "Oi, you up there, you Valor?"
Valor emits a sigh so loud you can hear it up from the roof. "I'm busy!"
"Well get unbusy, we're needin' to ask ya some questions." Garmus answers, totally ignoring the sigh.
Ecko frantically waves at who he assumes to be Valor, echoing the exact same words and sounds Garmus said, perfectly replicating the Dwarf's voice.
Garmus quirks his eyebrow at Ecko, wondering to himself if he really sounds like that.
Eralynn holds in a snicker, but she fails. It sounds like a loud PHF! sound.
"And just who the Hells are you all!?" Valor calls from the roof, agitated.
"Just a few people looking into the mystery of some man-eating books." Ysabell replied lightly with a smile. "Care to help us out and answer a few questions?". As soon she finished asking for the Tiefling's aid, little nameless behind her poked it's head out and meowed as if echoing the request.

The Tiefling sighed heavily and put her tools down. "And how in the world would I be able to help you with that?"
