Eralynn turned cherry. Ysa?Maybe we uh. Could go back to Candlekeep. And uh. I dunno. Maybe see if Yalerion knows uh. Where another bakery is? You know. For Ecko? And Garmus? She stopped writing as she smiled shyly, dropped her pencil, and folded in on herself giggling.
"Yes let us return..." Ysabell sighed out. "There is still much we all need to do there." then smirking slightly, "And I'm sure your friend can show you all the best bakeries Candlekeep has to offer."
ERALYNN We all returned to Candlekeep with our tails between our legs. So to speak. We actually don't have tails. Unfortunately, while it was a good plan, we were too late to save the pig idol, and we weren't able to gain entrance to the undead circus while it was under City Watch investigation. Ecko still has evidence of having eaten sugary treats - those donuts he offered were delicious. I've never seen Ysabell so upset before. It startled me. I wouldn't want to mess with her. Even Garmus seemed pouty, and that's rare. He is really funny when he's angry. I can do new things with my magic now. The inspiration I provide my friends now seems to have a secondary, additional effect depending on what I draw. And, this afternoon, one of my drawings came alive on the paper, not in the usual way, but in a way that it became an actual object that I could feel and hold!
So here we are, back in Candlekeep. We still need to solve the original reason why we are here in the first place, the plague from Ysa's tale. Maybe we'll see Yalerion. He's so handsome. He gives me butterflies and I daydream kissing him under a tre--

Suddenly, a passing raven dropped a book on Eralynn's head. It hit corner first, so it was more painful. She stumbled, rubbing her head and getting her bearings. The book was on the floor. The raven landed on the floor nearby, looking at us with an uncommon intelligence. Eralynn gave the raven a wry comical look.
Garmus finally feels that he has practiced his new fighting techniques to the point where they will be useful in a fight. He is tempted to start a brawl just to test them out but figures he'd best restrain himself. Glad that the Balder's Gate fiasco is behind him, he heads into Candlekeep and almost runs into Eralynn as she stops short and stumbles. He reaches to catch her but she rights herself. "Ya ok lass?" He asks, then sees the book and the bird. "What the hells? Did that motley chicken just drop a book on yer head?"
Raastin eyes the raven suspiciously. "Never trusted those black birds." Instinctively but carefully, he reaches down to take a look at the book. "If this thing bites me, bird, I'm going to feed you to Garmus."'

The raven backs up as you pick it up. The book bears no title inside or out, except on the first page where the keepers of Candlekeep cataloged it as the Book of the Raven. Its covers are cracked, unvarnished thin sheets of black oak covered with bird scratches and little indentations made by pecking beaks. Bound with black wire between these covers are thirty-three pages that have yellowed with age and wrinkled from moisture. Each page bears tiny, blotchy brown script written in an unsteady hand by an unidentified author.
As you pick up the book, something slips out of it. It looks like a map.

Ecko takes a fascination with Eralynn's newfound ability to create objects from drawing, studying it and making an abundance of notes with comically intense interest. "Amazing! Absolutely incredible. Perhaps you could find a way to speak by simply writing?" he asks in an amalgam of voices.
Ecko is delighted at the raven and can't help himself from releasing a bout of laughter as the book wakes Erarlynn from her daydream. He sidles forward and leans close to the raven, reflecting some mimicked raven calls to see its reaction and/or glean what it's trying to convey. They were intelligent beings. Ecko resembled a raven, too. A big, bipedal one. Animal Handling: 9
Ecko then bends down to pull up the map. "It's raining books! Have I simply traveled from Hupperdook to heaven? Let's see what this curious tome has in stock for us." He giggles at Raastin's comment - the threat of gingwhatsits had totally flew out of Ecko's mind.
Ysabell was quieter than normal throughout their journey back to Candlekeep. Though her foul disposition from earlier had left her, their failures in Baldur's Gate seemed to weigh on her heavily. As a result, she dived head first into finding a cure for the plague, searching through tomes and speaking with a few of the seekers walking through the halls; unfortunately she wasn't having much success.
Just as Ysabell was about to move on to a different part of the Keep, a book plunked the top of Eralynn's head which brought her awareness back to her immediate surroundings. As little Nameless meowed at the raven, Ysabell noted the map that had slipped out of the book and examined it, curious about what it may be.

Eralynn never considered that. She looks to Ecko with a sense of curiosity and wonder, pondering his words as the raven takes a step closer to him, but is still extremely wary.
Inside the book appears to be a page that is not part of the book, as if put there on purpose. I'll post the picture in discord. Eralynn peeks at it.
Raastin's attention perks up at the mention of "treasure map." He moves in like an overbearing used car salesman who smells freshly-minted cash. "Do tell....Let us have a peek."

Eralynn points to the bottom left of the map, to the house with the ravens. She looks at the raven on the street, nearby, staring at us, as if it wanted to tell us something, but couldn't. She drew.
Maybe the raven is trying to tell us something? Guide us somewhere. Wytchway. Heh!
"Alright, who speaks magpie?" Garmus asks as they look over the map.
Ecko excitedly raises a hand, tilts his head, and mimics a couple sounds of a Magpie chirping. "I'm more fluent in flamingo!"
He holds the map aloft, rummaging in his bag for a few spare crumbs of donut that inevitably trickled downwards from his time spent bouncing between bakeries in Baldur's Gate. He holds it to the raven. Strange. Ecko looked uncannily similar to a raven. "Come on, little one. If there's one thing you and I have in common, it's liking baked goods." Another Animal Handling? 7

Ignoring the raven completely in favor of the "map", "I'm reading this correctly, it looks like Candlekeep is here (pointing towards the image on the top right) and the treasure is here... (pointing towards the house on the bottom left)" Ysabell began before pondering how well she knew the surrounding landscape.

She drew quickly on her sketchbook, her soot covered fingers dancing on the paper. On it, appeared the artistic representation of a raven. It came to life, and landed on Ecko's shoulder. Eralynn looked at Ecko, and made a gesture. Try it now.
The raven on the ground both looks at Ecko and his new line drawn pet.

Ysa: Correct. You've heard of this area before. It's about a day away north from Candlekeep. The landmarks are not too familiar, but the overall area is nearby.
Indeed, both Ecko and the raven enjoy baked goods. As the inspiration from Eralynn is used, the raven drawing chirps loudly and, with a musical jingle, dissapates. Looking proud at Ecko's new friend, the raven takes many steps closer, braver than it was moments ago. It looks at the bottom left of the map and caws, or whatever Ravens do.
