"They?" Helena asks, at least glad that this giant seemed to know something of what is going on. "Who is this they you speak of?" She asks as she frowns up at bthe giant.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sphyboe silently observes the owner of the tower and she seems impressed by his cordial acceptance of the travelling party. She holds her ground till Helena returns to the large hall with her companions, and listens to the exchange of information between Zephyros and Helena. She especially takes not of the way Helena describes the unfortunate incident of giant's attack in Nightstone, carefully gauging the frame of event.
"Don't let our Druid friend fool you, Zephyros. We are not a bit intimidated by your presence, and we excuse you for your delay"- Sphyboe attempts to normalize the situation as a preparation for her next action while trying to recall something about the person 'Sansuri'.
"Should we be concerned about your acquaintance 'Sansuri'?"
Daerthe continues to stay hidden as she listens to what is the giant has to say. She will move in slowly but stay out of sight as much as she can while they talk.
When Helena asks who “they” may be, Zephyros looks a little flustered, “Well, that’s an explanation for another day, really. Perhaps it is enough to say that my sources hinted that a scribe, wanderer, diplomat, angel, and shadow would have a part to play in the affairs of giants. I can’t say more, other than to invite the angel and the shadow in as well. The view outside is remarkable, but I would love to speak with you all face to face. Most probably you have names you would prefer to be called as well.”
He then turns to Sphyboe and explains, “Countess Sansuri does not have the respect for small folk that I have. She is a powerful cloud giant with a floating castle. I do not know if she played a part in Nightstone, but it wouldn’t surprise me. From the rumors I’ve heard, she seeks artifacts to raise her status amongst giant-kind. Unfortunately, she is not the only one. There seems to be a great shuffling and vying for power and position after many long years of a stable hierarchy. All small folk and giants alike should be concerned.”

Sphyboe attentively listens to the words of Zephyros when he explains the source of his information. At first, the aliases 'Scribe', 'Wanderer', 'Diplomat', 'Angel' and 'Shadow' hadn't made any sense to her, but a spark of flashback reminds her something ragarding the title 'Angel'. "Where did I hear that word?"
She can not help but smile sheepishly when she acknowledges the authenticity of his words:
"Are you sure that your source mentioned the involvement of a 'diplomat'? I believe the exact word must have been 'thunder', but let's not mingle with the possibility."
She whispers something to Helena that includes the faint sounds of the words 'cave', 'goblin', 'friendship'. Finally she asks Zephyros about the 'artifact' while expressing concern about the wellbeing of oppressed common folks.
"That's the worst drawback of 'Power-Politics', it's the commoners who suffer the most from the direct impact of elite dissensus."
“Oh, yes, definitely a diplomat: one who uses words with skill and purpose to steer a situation to their best advantage and goals. Oh, yes, I believe there is one among you.” The giant smiles broadly and winks at Sphyboe. “There may be a hint of thunder, but I’m not sure it’s been let loose yet.” He grows a little more serious as Sphyboe mentions the effects of politics on common folk. “Indeed, this has been the way of the world always, I think. The powerful play their games and the ordinary people are crushed in the process. Even worse when the players are my size.” He shakes his head and sighs. “But, this is why I wish to help you. I don’t know how, but you have a part to play in this. I would like to offer you transportation. My tower is not built for speed, but I do sail above most of the run-of-the-mill harassment that can occur on the road. What is your destination?”

"Well first we are heading to waterdeep, to take care of some obligations we had prior to all of this." Helena says, glancing to her companions. "After that we are heading to Triboar."
"Finally, we'll complete our quest by visiting the area 'Yartar'"-Sphyboe decides to contribute to the discussion by adding the name of the final destination. She will ask Zephyros about the means of travel by saying:
"Are you planning on providing us with the Griffons for quick overhead journey? Some of us have the experience of handling a trained Griffon, but I can't say anything about the others. Hmm...may we help you with something in return?"
Hearing the others, Essie manages to tear her gaze away from the view below them and joins the others. And immediately stops upon seeing the newcomer in the room. Listen, Essie is not used to looking up at someone to meet their eye. Her expression is a bit shocked as she takes in the giant, and her eyes stay wide as she says, "Oh. Hello, there. Pleasure to meet you."
Listening to the others talk, she tilts her head to the side as her fingers come up to tap at her amulet. She's not sure how she feels about having to play a part in this, especially since she's not even entirely sure what's going on. She does have something she's trying to do, but, well, if this helps people, perhaps she should follow this new path.
"Oh, transportation sounds lovely. Walking has been fun, but a bit of speed might not go awry. We're not a very fast group."
Zephyros nods thoughtfully as Helena and Sphyboe share the group’s plans. “Well, Waterdeep isn’t far at all. I could bring you a little closer, although I don’t want to get too close. If there have been cloud giant attacks lately, they might not take too kindly to my presence. After you conclude your business there, I could pick you up a couple of hours walk north of the city, along the High Road. Then I would be happy to take you in my tower to Triboar. Again, we wouldn’t be much faster than walking or horseback, but you won’t have to fear attacks along the road. What do you all think? Will you be my guests for the ten days or so that it will take to get to Triboar? I would so much like to provide you with this assistance.”
(He responds to Sphyboe’s question about his griffons, “Unfortunately my griffons are not trained to carry passengers. They do some hunting for me and provide a little extra protection.”)

Daerthe continues to watch the giant from what she hopes is a hidden spot as the others talk. She does her best to not let out a scoff at the offer of help, not quick to trust a random offer of help. She watches the giant close to guess of he is being truthful with them.
As Daerthe watches the cloud giant from her hidden position, she notices him glance in her direction a few times. She recalls that he listed a “shadow” as one member of her group and she suspects he is referring to her. Perhaps he did see her despite her attempt to hide. Beyond this, he seems forthright and eager to help them. He seems to be keeping his own secrets about a few things, like whoever “they” are, but he seems truthful in what he does tell them.

"I think this would be quite nice." Helena says with a nod. "If you could get us closer to the city, then pick us up north of it, I would appreciate that quite a lot." She glances to the others. "What do the rest of you think?"
Daerthe frowns since he seems to know that she is there regardless of her best attempt to hide. Not seeing much reason to keep it up, the drow steps out from her spot and pulls her hood down, looking over at the others. "If it keeps me out of the sun for a bit then I am ok with this for now."
Sphyboe will agree with the party regarding the travel arrangement, then she will speak to Zephyros:
"If you don't want to engage with the Waterdhavians, that's completely reasonable. But, we can assure you that if they want to harm or disrespect you, we'll offer you protection immediately."
Zephyros’ smile widens even more as the party accepts his invitation. He claps his hands with excitement and the sound crashes in your ears. “Wonderful! Wonderful! Now, a couple of questions before we head toward Waterdeep. One, what are your names? Or would you prefer me to call you Scribe, Wanderer, Diplomat, Angel, and Shadow? Two, how long do you suppose your business in the city will take? I’ll drop you about an hour’s walk outside of the city and you should make it within the walls before sundown. You may not be able to accomplish much before full dark, so I suppose I would pick you up late morning or midday tomorrow.” He pauses for a moment as another thought occurs to him. “Another option would be to stay in the tower overnight a few miles out of town, then take care of your business in the morning. It’s possible you would be more comfortable in an inn in the city, as I don’t have beds your size. But you would be welcome. It is up to you.”

"I am Helena." Helena says with a smile for the giant. "As far as a place to stay, I would be up for staying here tonight, then dealing with my business quickly tomorrow, and be ready to go within a couple hours of reaching the city." She glances to the others with a questioning look. "How about the rest of you?"
“I am all for sleeping here tonight. Might as well get used to sleeping on a cloud, as it were. We’ll be doing it for the next 10 nights or so. Oh, and my name is Bramble Mossbottom, not nearly as enigmatic as ‘Wanderer’, but in your company I will respond to either.” Bramble says jovially to Zephyros.
"Please call me Phoebus, but I like the title 'Diplomat' too"- Sphyboe introduces herself to the host, then she will answer his second question after concluding a quick strategic planning on the approximate travel schedule of the party:
"At first, it will be quite difficult for us to locate the Nandar Representatives of Waterdeep since we do not have any information regarding their current state. Then I have to perform some kind of personal responsibility. So, it might take us a while to get back here, approximately two to three hours?"
"They?" Helena asks, at least glad that this giant seemed to know something of what is going on. "Who is this they you speak of?" She asks as she frowns up at bthe giant.
