Holding up his holy symbol, Randall summons a Guardian of Faith directly in front of the book golem, then grabs his necklace of prayer beads and invokes a blessing,
(Guardian of faith does 20 points radiant damage unless the foe makes a DC 21 Dexterity save on its turn.)

Book's DEX save: 8
(It will have to roll another DEX on it's turn for Randall's spell.)

Books has a few pages from some of his books catch fire for a mere moment before he quickly snaps the book open and closed, extinguishing any fire.
Anyone who wants can make a Perception check.
Books draws back like someone taking a deep breath, then spews a cone of books into the room where you are, only Tempe and Randall are caught in the cone of books. Each must make a DC 15 DEX save for half damage. The cone of books does 20 bludgeoning damage.
(After any perception checks it will be the end of Round 1.)

(Was this one against Zenodor's spell, which also had a DEX 21 save? Or was this a different save? It makes a difference to Z for next turn: If it failed, he can continue to damage the thing again without even having to roll to hit, or allowing another save next turn; if it saved, he might chose a different spell or action)
This one was against Zenodor's spell. I didn't realize until after that because of it's -1 penalty to DEX it can't beat DCs of 20 or higher.

The continued damage from Zenodor's drain is enough to end the Books golem and all the books that made up it's body fall to ground and remain inert, now just normal regular books that can be read.
You can all hear the sounds of more books coming from the remaining 3 hallways, of which only 2 were scouted. There might be as many as 3 more of these odd creatures.
