Pepin will write down the directions to this library to give to a scholar or such, as this extensive collection should be saved somehow. when in the city he suggests to first of all let the commander know that we destroyyed the phylactery and maybe let Mynash know about the library with the instructions? He'll probably know someone who can handle this selection of books?

Zenodor will take the time to inform the city's civic and military leaders, as no doubt they will wish to know that the Dracolich is defeated and should no longer pose a threat to the city.
Once this is done, he will return to their usual lodgings and prepare his kit and provisions for their next trip.
The group is able to notify the military who in turn pass along the info to the civic leaders. Mynash manages to find you before yiur next meal.
"Oh my, oh yes, very good. Yes, very good indeed. It is a strange thing to work with goblins and dragons both. I have sages looking into things and trying to figure out who or what might be behind all this. Oh my, oh well, take some time to recuperate and deal with any personal business. It's possible that the old elven temple might have some answers, oh dear, oh yes, and of course I may have more info on that matter before you decide to embark on that little quest, yes."
Mynash is in a good mood and shares the meal with you, picking up the tab.
(ooc: if any of you want to do anything that will take some downtime feel free... I don't want to rush you around without giving you all a chance to do anything you might want to do in between big story points.)

If there isn't much downtime activity to handle currently or maybe some were caught unaware that I would offer some you can pocket it this one instance and make a post a little later referring back to this time and describe what you did with your downtime. Just don't try to abuse it with future knowledge and say you did this or that trying to gain a little advantage please. Also, how much downtime do you guys want to have passed before we continue... days/weeks/months?
(PS; sorry for long delay before continuing but there was a long winter storm here and my work shift was changed at the last minute (unrelated but with both happening I had little time over the past few days))

You find the general atmosphere of the city to be quickly returning to normal. The streets are about 2/3 full as they used to be and only 20% of businesses and shops remain closed. It appears the city of Laurentiis is quickly bouncing back from the failed siege.

During the downtime, Randall makes use of his considerable healing powers to make sure the common folk are well taken care of physically and spiritually. The funds he gave the church are going a long way to quickly helping the citizens rebuild. When he is not busy with that, he is going through the recovered books--a treasure in themselves. He makes sure each of the book finds a good home either at the temple, in a library, or somewhere else where it may be enlightening. Books on religion, specifically that of Lathander, and books on temple architecture seem to particularly capture his interest, and he starts sketching drawings of what the first temple to the Morninglord might have looked like. He also pores through books on geography, focusing on unique locations that may provide privacy and an uninterrupted view of the dawn throughout the year.

Zenodor will spend some of this time meditating and trying to commune with his Patron (Great Old One), but has little hope that he will obtain anything clear or useful from the unfathomable entity.
East and North are several mountains, one of which is called the Dawnspire, it is the tallest and has several plateaus facing the sunrise. It has great potential for what you have in mind.

Mynash is able to handle the sale of the magical book for you. 5,000 gold to divide among the party.

You picture a clear blue sky with a few large puffy clouds floating lazily by. Your attention is drawn to a lone cloud, it is small and gray, a darker gray that keeps getting closer to black.

Zenodor struggles to interpret the vision, but feels that his Patron certainly does not object to the current quest, and perhaps the dark could indicates a warning of the the danger on the horizon. Feeling somewhat confused and unclear about his Patron's will is nothing unusual for a Warlock who pledge himself to a Great Old One, to Z takes it stoically and determined to carry on as they had planned.
Once everyone is ready let me know how you wish to proceed.

The same wizard as before drops by to join Mynash and you all for breakfast on the day you are preparing to leave. He supplies a map that shows the relative location of the newly discovered, ancient elven temple. And offers this;
"I have made an arrangement with the elves who want to reclaim this temple. They will allow you to explore the temple and even provide a guide, of sorts. If there are any 'unwelcome visitors' they would appreciate your help in that matter and other than elvish religious texts and artifacts that originally belonged to the temple you are free to keep anything else you may find there, such as treasure or things that don't belong to the elves."
