Petcan nods to Randall. "I have hink that's a good idea, although I will admit it makes me nervous. The circumstances of my birth and acquisition of magic are... Sketchy, on a comic scale. Some celestial beings may find they prefer me dead by virtue of association with evil and it's forces, despite my upraising."

"An interesting idea. Perhaps the celestial may also have some insight into the situation with these plants, or may even have an idea for a solution.
But will we need to perform services or offer it something in return?"
(Z is a warlock, so is wary of (even more) deals with higher beings that may involve a catch)
Sorry about not recognizing your name right off the bat but you've been using Tempe somewhere between 100 and 1,000 times without any reference to it. If you prefer I can refer to you as Ignis from now on?
(The situation between Randall and the rest of the group as to whether you should summon a celestial being is something for you all to work out in roleplay. If I'm ever giving you too much time or not enough to roleplay among yourselves just let me know. I'm not above criticism and won't get angry or anything, I'm pretty chill and usually try to provide an entertaining game that is fun for all.)

— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
(Campaign note: I know I started this campaign under the Goblin Horde banner and this side diversion Island thing as taken a little longer than I originally anticipated. It will get back on track shortly, just bear with me for a little while longer. Thank-you.)

“Good thoughts. I will summon the celestial and see what he or she can tell us. Rather than making a deal, I will just try to get us to know each other and see what rewards or services the celestial might like in the future.”
As he stands over the open graves of the two island visitors, Randall will grasp the appropriate gem and beseech a celestial ally, praying for the specific one who last was summoned by this prayer bead if possible.

"I have no problems with your summoning." Tempe says. "But I doubt gods would care about killer plants, and would just task us to do what we have been doing for free.
The sensa was like that. Someone would complain that something was broken. And the sensa would task that person to fix it."
He gives a rare chuckle in memory
"Anyway. Once we make this place safe for humanoids. I long to see this goblin hoard you've spoke of."
ooc: Tempe is fine.
Shit, I almost didn't catch on when Ignis was used lol

OOC: Can I just clarify: Are we eventually looking for a Goblin HOARD (a large amount of treasure), or a Goblin HORDE (a large amount of Goblins)? Or both?
(ooc: I just realized 2 of the players joined up on the voyage to the Island and that was after all the Goblin Horde (large amounts of nasty goblins) stuff.)
@Randall
During your prayers you hear a rustling among the trees off to the right and briefly glance that way out of curiosity and see the silhouette of something large moving behind the bushes and trees. Then a horn emerges from between two close branches.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randall:
”Pray approach, Servant of the Light. I have summoned you as we lay the previous owner of the prayer beads to rest, presumably slain by the aggressive plant creatures we have recently defeated”, says Randall carefully.

The horned head of a horse emerges from the bushes and looks around briefly before stepping into the clearing.
It is not just white in color, it is pristine white and almost glows, reminding you of moonlight.
Randall hears a celestial voice inside his head, "How may I aid you noble servant of the Morning Lord?"

"Greetings, celestial one, I am Brother Randall. I would know of the life of the one who bore this holy necklace before I did, so we can do she and her companion honor as we lay them to rest. Secondarily, I would get to know you and what tribute you might desire should we need your help in a more...active...fashion during our upcoming endeavors," replies Randall, gesturing to the two they are prepared to inter.

"The one who previously wore the necklace served the forces of nature. Lay her to rest at the foot of a tree so that she might find peace in the great hereafter."
The unicorn then lowers their head and speaks softly, "If you deem the magical enchantments on their footwear worth salvaging then at least do them the honor of not burying them barefoot."
"In your hour of need call upon my service that I may fulfill my debt. After that I would require service for service and would discuss such matters when they are more pressing."

"I am known to many as Silverwind, Brother Randall." And the unicorn momentarily extends one of it's front legs while bending it's other's knee. It bows her head to you before returning to a normal posture. This is all done more graceful than I've probably described it. If an animal could curtsy this is what you think she is doing, returning the respect you have all shown her.

Zenodor follows Randall's lead, curtseying to the unicorn and showing his respect. But he leaves the conversation to Randall.
He then rummages around his pack to find some shoes to put on the bodies prior to burying them. (Noble clothing [in his rucksack] presumably includes shoes, which he will offer to replace the magic boots)
Zenodor can easily supply one pair of boots (and I'm guessing that whoever is wearing magic boots can donate their mundane pair that came with their clothing?).
(Just let me know in a post who is doing this... may or may not be relevant.)
The unicorn, Silverwind, will stay for the prayer, and funeral service of the two long dead adventurers and five natives.

Z suggests to Randall that perhaps after the service (but before she disappears) would be a good idea to ask Silverwind if she knows anything about this Island or the Purplewraths. Perhaps it knows why these two unfortunate adventurers ended up getting caught and killed by the PWs, or what their mission was. Or perhaps she knows about the nature of the PWs - why they are attacking the Islanders or what drives their behaviour.
