"Ah of course, I should have known we were heading to Mynash's shop; it is were my tool comes from." Pepin says as he pats the screwdriver on his hip.

When the door to 'Mynash's Magical Menagerie' is first opened a series of bubbles squirts into the air above your heads and as each pops a different note to a jingle is sounded. From around a corner further in appears a little gnome who begins waddling toward you.
"Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to 'Mynash's Magical Menagerie.' The first stop for all things mysterious, mechanical, and of course magical. My name is Bricklepop. How may I help you today?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Well met, Bricklepop. And may I compliment you on the musical magic upon our entry. Both intriguing and amusing, and a most promising start to making some equally pleasing trades. We are adventurers, working with Mynash himself, endeavouring to protect the city from the threat of the Goblin Horde. We are looking for all manner of things that may help us in our struggle against the Horde. What types of things might you have that you think may be helpful? For example, something magical to help us scout or infiltrate the enemy's lines might be useful"
(Z is particularly looking to see if there is anything in the nature of magical disguises or invisibility. Also, assuming magical items are affordable for us, Z would be interested in general items they may have - not really combat items, but Z is always interested in random utility items)
"Oh, fighting the Goblin Horde hey. That's good, yes, that's very well indeed. Now if you want to go unseen I've got these packets of fine sand, you simply throw it up over your heads and everyone within 10 feet will become invisible, although it only lasts for a few minutes it's quite useful in a pinch." Bricklepop then cocks his head to the side and stares at you for a brief moment. He then waddles over to a box-like chest and begin rummaging around, digging out a few items to get at other stuff, at one point his feet lift off the ground as he reaches for something near the bottom. Finally he holds up a velvet hat with a droopy feather. "This here hat can help disguise you for a hour. It's been used many times and the magic hasn't worn out yet."

"An excellent recommendation my friend. And how much would you be asking heroic defenders of the city to pay for the packets of sand [Dust of Disappearance, I presume] and the magical hat?"
Z is trying to haggle for a nice low price. Persuasion 22
Pepin looks around the store, mouthwatering about all the magic items. If only he could have some time to find out how they worked so he could make them himself. But for now he would just have to stay with the things he knows. Tonight he'd be sure to work on his armor, imbuing his defensive magic in it.

Tempe has been quietly following behind he looks at the magical wears and just for practice ritually casts detect magic. For fun and to see if there is anything that would benefit him (like bracers of defense.)
Z will also have a rummage around the shop. [not looking for legenday items or anything, just some fun utility things]
He's looking for anything interesting and fun such as: Decanter of Endless Water, Eversmoking bottle, Immovable Rod, Pole of Collapsing, Pipe of Remembrance, Robe of Useful Items, Cloak of Billowing
On the more actually useful side of adventuring, something like a Ring of Spell Storing could provide good use for the party. Or a Carpet of Flying [big enough for 5 of us]. Or maybe Folding Boat.
"The packets are about 250 gold and the hat is 500 gold." Bricklepop then waddles over to a basket resting on top of some books that are stacked on top of one end of a rectangle box, he rummages inside of the basket and then extracts an ornate amulet for Randall. "This should be just what you're looking for, was a trade I made over a year ago well before any of this Goblin Horde nonsense."
"The rest of you should feel free to browse around, you never know what you might find."

"Ah yes, well that's also 500 gold." Bricklepop then waddles around a corner to the left and disappears from sight, you hear low mumbling for an instant more and then silence. Any who follow don't find him where he should be.
Before you start to feel anything is wrong the mumbling becomes coherent as you turn and witness Bricklepop coming into view from a corner to the right carrying a small wooden box without a lid, from which all manner of oddly shaped metal objects protrude, "Oh you're most welcome Pepin and I shall definitely keep you in mind if I happen upon any upgrades, so to speak, but in the meantime you might find this interesting. None of these things are magical and they're only taking up space. I was going to toss em' out but... well... I mean if you can't make any use of them then don't feel bad if you decide to dump em' on the nearest pile of refuse as that's what I had originally planned to do with em.' However, hmmm," he digs through the box and pulls out two cylinders, one with a large sapphire fixed to the end.
"Now don't get too excited as the sapphire is just costume jewelry and has no real value but check this out," and Bricklepop then slides the cylinder with the sapphire inside the other cylinder and twists the bottom part, there is a click and a blue light shines forth. Bricklepop points it at the floor and the ceiling before turning it toward the amulet in Randall's hand, when he does the amulet glows as it reflects the blue light. "It only does that once a day but who knows what the other things are capable of with a little tinkering."

Two packets/uses should be enough. This would only be for emergencies/escapes/etc, not for every day use.
