I think we rest, check provisions etc. Those inyeh party with flying movement (Z included) do a quick vertical ascent above the trees to check the path and direction, and whether the smoke is still visible. Then once we're prepped and ready we journey onwards
Tempe looks around "I would hate for those creatures to start hunting the colonist. They almost killed us. But they are a natural part of this Island. I am sure there are worse things here. Maybe we could use the snakes to defend if I can convince them to be guards in exchange for food. When we encounter them again."
In that case, I think we should make haste and make our way there before whatever it was disappears. So, fairly fast march until we're a short distance away; then a careful stealthy approach being wary of more ambushes
Petcan looks like he comes a bit more alive as night settles. He begins to relax.
“It makes you wonder what use the wildlife might be put to. There’s no putting up with these things forever, a child will get bitten by ventilator if we let it go entirely.”

Randall:
"A balance must be struck, as you say Petcan. We can't and shouldn't tame the wilds here completely, but the more aggressive residents that may threaten our people must be dealt with somehow," responds Randall.
"In the meantime, let us find a good secure place to rest," he offers, scouting out a good campsite and invoking a Guardian of Faith spell where they plan to sleep.
Survival: 25
Edit: If someone helps, he can roll again for the advantage, as that was not particularly good...

"My thanks," says Randall as he accepts one of the Berries and looks to the path ahead. As they travel, he keeps an eye out for any interesting plant or wildlife that would be useful for colonization of the island.

Z instructs Irraxan (the Imp) to find one of the town leaders or commanders, and will then use the Imp to carry Z's voice and to have a conversation with them. Z will explain he is with the party that took the villagers to safety, and they they are concerned about Laurentiis. Specifically, what intelligence have they gathered of the enemy, and how urgently do they need help.
(OOC: given the name of the campaign, I feel we can't just abandon a major city to the eponymous Goblin Horde, but should save them. They question is: go back and help the military? Or go around the back and attack supply lines? Or find their leader and cut off the head? Or something different?)
Ooc: just to clarify and to be safe: "they" will prove victorious, you mean the city of Laurentiis will be victorious? (Not the goblin horde?)
If so, we can carry on with this expedition to the wilds with a reasonable conscience for a while. But probably should still get to the bottom of the plot later.
"Well good to hear that Laurentiis will most likely survive. I guess we should focus on this island than, for now."

No further instructions.
Z uses an action to temporarily dismiss Irraxan to a pocket dimension. (No distance limit)
He then uses a second action to make his familiar reappear within 30ft.
So the return trip only takes 12 seconds. @Tempe: that's how the Imp gets back. Much easier :)
