Cassandra doesn’t want the dagger either. But she wants to rest up, before venturing onward. “Ceesh- If ye can gets this thing running again would be might useful as a ship guard!.”
(Ceesh does not want the dagger, but would like to harvest the Shield Guardian for parts and/or get it running again? DM willing?)
(DM is veeeery willing, this is the reward for actually beating that challenging fight. Be warned, fixing it won't be easy, it was killed by Shatter, so its internals are absolutely trashed.)

Alrighty everyone, figure out what to do with the mage and scrap pile, and then you can take a long rest.

Cassandra thinks we should interrogate the wizard and learn more about the crimson fleet, anything else. But that’s not her expertise. She can however make sure he’s good and tied up so he can’t escape or cast spells.
Then she will rest (she’s badly injured still, and low on spell slots) and then shopping in the morning.
If nobody else is going to roll for the dagger, “Birdie” will hand it to Robin. He will then defer to those who will “mend” or repair the construct and to those who will interrogate the mage. If allowed, he will retrieve his net and aid in tying up the mage in a more traditional manner. He will reload the automatic pistol to its 15 shot capacity. Finally, he will find a spot on the floor and curl up for a long rest.
(I am back, just waiting on the results of the dagger gambling and whatnot...)
(I think Birdie takes it)
Everyone takes a long rest. It is morning now. The mage is still tied up.
(OOC- what are your plans for the mage while you go shopping?)

(Robin, please add the dagger of warning to your inventory.)
”Birdie” will volunteer to go with whomever is going out. His usefulness in repairing the construct or interrogating the mage would be limited. Now that he’s rested, he hopefully would be more useful in carrying the construct back to a ship, if that is preferable.

(DM question- since the wizard prisoner is a crimson agent, can we drop him off at the otterian guard prison? If not, we can bring them all back to the ships, then go shopping)
If you think it's safe to drop him off at the police, then you can do so.
If not, I'll assume you toss him and the shield guardian into the hold and continue on to the shop.

After a quick dropoff, you all make your way to The Mortar and Pestle unimpeded by further assassination attempts.
Walking along the street, you see the sign hanging over an alley. It bear the letters "M&P" and an image of an octopus grinding up herbs. Turning down the alley, you see the store. It has certainly seen better days, as its grey brick walls and dingy windows are covered in moss and algae. The courtyard contains a huge heap of dirty glass shards, a pile of broken, rusted, and decayed naval equipment, and a pond full of a dark brown liquid that gives off noxious fumes. There is a path through the mess leading to the stoop, and the door is open.

Cass ignores the mess and enters the shop. She’s on a mission. “We’ve gots some stuff to sell and some stuff to be buyin. We hear this be the place whot it’s at”

The shop is untidy as the courtyard. A front desk is at the center of the room, with display cases of various weapons behind the glass. On the right side of the room, the wall is lined with naval equipment and artillery pieces. On the left side of the shop, a laboratory is set up for brewing potions, with a shelf of completed bottles next to it. An otterfolk hops out from behind a cannon, polishing rag in hand. He is wearing a preserved and hollowed-out octopus as a cap, and is sporting a pair of thick goggles.
"Yes, yes, yes! You've come to the right place, friends! The name's Searlus, at your service. What have you come for, my famous concoctions or my deadly ship smashers? Oh, and please pardon the mess outside, the city won't let me dump my lab waste in the bay, so I dump it all in the pond out front."
“Birdie” will wander in the shop seeing if anything catches his eye.
The shop has a huge array of weapons, ship's gear, and potions. They all have labels and price tags, but Searlus' handwriting is practically illegible. If you have something in mind, just ask, he probably has it somewhere.

“Birdie” will meander while the Captains deal. The things he would keep an eye out for would be modern bullets or the components for the manufacturing of them (for the craftier members of the crew to utilize), maybe a shield (small and mobile that wouldn’t hinder his mobility while climbing the rigging onboard) ideally if it could add resistances, or other items that could (help with saving throws). Maybe a magical melee finesse weapon (to overcome resistances).
He walked in with only 10gp on his person, so he will not interrupt the ongoing negotiations but mentally note anything of interest in case he’s offered to pick something paid for with community funds or perhaps to return later when his own purse is a bit heavier.

(Or parts. I should actually have an Eldritch cannon that would have helped in that last battle but, I forgot.)
Farewell.

Cass will prefer dropping them off in the hold. She doesn’t trust that everyone in the Otterian government is loyal.
Wise move.

Gianna bends down to sniff the smelly liquid. She shakes her head in disgust and follows the others into the shop.
She isn't looking for anything in particular but keeps an eye out for javelins and a quiver to hold them.

Robin would wrinkle up her nose as she enters the place, but she would mill around, keeping an eye out as the captains deal with the shop owner.
(She sniffed it. She actually sniffed it. What part of "noxious fumes" makes you think that that's a good idea?)
After inhaling the toxic gases, Gianna is now under the Poisoned effect. Make a CON save.
