The first day is over, and the Shield Guardian is back to life!
Lookouts, please roll for day 2.
Tinkerers, if you have any more projects to do, please name them.

Life is very busy unfortunately, gone from most Pbp's indefinitely. If you'd like to contact me, I am on Discord at GreatAxeblade#7595, always happy to chat :)
As the trees endlessly flow by the banks, you pick out something from the reeds. What looked like yet another fallen oak, turned out to be a dock on closer inspection. There is a path going from the dock into an almost-hidden fishing village.
Assuming Birdie reports his find, Captains, do you want to stop?
Ceesh will get to work making a defense system for Ventum if possible.
Make an INT-based Tinkers Tools check to mess around with spare parts until you find a design you like.
(For any further rolls on the contraption, I need more info about what you are trying to make)

(I had either wanted to make a ventilating system inside Ventum to turn Pond Scum into a gas similar to the Stinking Cloud or a blowdart thing with small canisters of Pond Scum, but I completely understand if that's not entirely possible with the materials we have on the ships at the moment)
Robin has settled into the boat after the first day. She is clearly unskilled in pretty much anything related to the ship, but is willing to learn and seems an apt pupil as she tries different tasks. She has removed her armor and weapons, walking about the deck in a three-quarters-length tunic that goes down to her knees. A belt around her waist holds her component pouch and light crossbow, just in case. Of course the new dagger is belted there as well, not to mention the thick dragon-scale spellbook she aquired - hanging from a chain on the belt, as she has not gone anywhere without those since aquiring them.
As word of the dock comes around the ship, and the possibility of them making a stop is made known, Robin disappears below deck to don her armor and get the rest of her gear together.

(I don't remember you ever saying you attuned to the spellbook. Are you attuned yet?)
You all stop at the dock. It appears to be recently used, and it has a path through the reeds leading to a village about 500 feet through the forest.
(Apologies for not posting, weekends are busy.)

(I assumed the attunement was just part of whatever long rest she had since she got it. I would expect her to be attuned by now, so let me know if I need to do something for that IC. Same goes for the dagger of warning.)

Robin Only:
As you attune to the dagger, you hear a faint whispering in the back of your mind. The voice seems to be talking about protecting you.
(Heads up, I'm not going to remember you have this dagger, please remind me when you are in a situation where the dagger would take effect.)
After attuning to the dagger, you turn to the grimoire. You flip through the pages, reading about ancient warlocks and mages, previous owners of the tome, who used it for acts of great magic and destruction. You feel a chill run down your spine as you read about a mage who was blown to pieces after he fumbled the casting of fireball using this book. This tome seems impartial, dishing out death to both its owner and its enemies. You must be very careful with this accursed book. It has great power for you to harness, but should you make a mistake while using it, you will be attacked with equal destruction.

Coming back up onto the deck, Robin now has on her half-plate armor, the dragon-scale book hanging on its chaing from her belt and her new dagger sheathed at her hip. She nods to the others, indicating she is ready to check out this dock and path.
Securing the boats at the hidden dock, Cass dis embarks and leads the way… “look sharp crew, we don’t know what this is about. Could be just some nice folks that don’t want visitors, or could be something sneaky- mayhap even crimson spies. “
As you all walk down the trail to the village, you notice how wild the area looks. Reeds brush against your legs and the drone of various bugs fills the air. The wooden gate is open, and you can see a large bonfire in the village square. A slightly crooked board hangs over the gate with the words "Welcome to Riverdrift" painted on. From the various fishing equipment scattered about, this is clearly a fishing village. The village is quite busy, with many goblins walking about, some cleaning their gear, others cooking fish.

“Birdie” will resist the urge to boastfully announce himself to the village and will instead ready a net in his offhand, not reaching for a more lethal weapon immediately. He hopes that if the Captains advance that the visual of a net in a stranger’s hands will be interpreted as a visit by fellow fishermen.

With the roll of 20, you can do either.

"Sorry, so sorry..."
She is ready to go exploring when the rest of the group is ready.

Cass looks at Ceesh and says “I gots no problem with goblins, but not sure whot the value o us bein here is- anything we need to check on ye think?”
Robin brings up the rear, waiting to see how the captains want to move forward, and how the villagers react to the group as we all arrive.
Gianna stays near Robin unsure about the goblins before her. She doesn't let her guard down.
OOC: I wasn't sure about how to react to goblins. Didn't know if they were a known threat or neutral party.
